What other cars are you considering?

For around the price of a fully loaded RX-8, I would consider the Infiniti G35 Coupe. That is about it for that price range.

If I were to go higher, I would spring for a BMW M3.

Don't do that while you're sitting in the car or test driving it. :D

On a serious note, what criteria are you looking for. Price, styling, needs rear seating, etc. More detail would be helpful.

Pricewise, I agree with rotarymagic you should look at the G35c. That was my second choice behind the RX-8. It was about 3K higher, similiarly equipped.

IMO, the M3 is much more money than you probably want to spend, 55k+. Other cars that may interest you, BMW 3-series coupe, or maybe the Saab 93 (even though it is FWD, it is a looker.).

Good luck.

Or if performance is the main want, the STi and Evo fir the bill nicely.

My main concern is definetly not performance, its styling and reliability.

Thats why the RX8 beats out the sti and evo for me. But the 350z still may be an option.

m3 is well....out of range :D

if styling is your concern then definitely stick with the RX-8...and while the G35c was my 2nd choice, sitting inside of one has left much to be desired, IMO...it has great styling outside but a very cheap plastic feeling inside...my best friend has one and it outperforms my RX-8 in almost every category but driving down the street i get a LOT more attention then his, anyday, hands down...and once they sit inside the RX-8, all i hear is amazement...

so yea, performance > G35c, styling > RX-8, reliablity > either...
