Hey. Currently i have the spare tire kit in my trunk. i have been thinking about installing subs, and if i did so, then i would have to get rid of the "strut bar" that mounts the spare.

if i remove this bar, will i lose performance or rigidity or anything? is rigidity even a word? does this bar even act as a strut bar, or is it useless for that purpose?

The bar for the spare doesn't do anything significant to the suspension. It's just there to mount the tire.
