Here's my estimates of what the RX-8 should do when compared to the RX-7 actuals:
Feature - RX-7 - RX-8 (est.) - Difference
Weight - 2862 - 2970 - +108
BHP @ - 255 @ 6500 - 250 @ 8500 - -5
LB/FT @ - 217 @ 5000 - 162 @ 8500 - -55
Tires - 225/VR-16" - 245/45R-18" - +2"
Front Brake - 11.6" 4 piston - 12.7" 6 piston - +1.1"
Rera Brake - 11.6" - 11.8" - +0.2"
0-60 MPH - 5.0 sec. - 5.5 sec. Est - +(0.5)
1/4 Mile - 13.9 sec. - 14.7 sec. Est. - +(0.8)
60-0 MPH - 110 Feet - As Good - Same or Better
Skidpad - 0.97 g - As Good - Same or Better
Slalom - 68 MPH - As Good - Same or Better
City/Hwy - 17/25 MPG - 22/30 WPG. - Plus 30%
Asses - Two Ass - Four Ass - Up Two Asses.
What's your guesses???

My guess is that the RX-8 will come in under 2900 lbs, so there's one adjustment.

I think the slalom speed will be higher. I think braking will be better.
