18x7.5?

I am about to purchase some new rims for my RX-8 and was wondering if 18x7.5 are going to be ok to use? I have 245/40 tires on the car... I don't really race the car around a lot just want something to look nice.

Just curious, is there really that much difference in the feel and responsiveness between 18x7.5 and the stock size 18x8? I'm considering some good looking Enkei wheels but the biggest they go is 7.5, I'm thinking it's better to go wider rather than narrower. But maybe half an inch isn't that big of a deal?

Yeah unfortunately that's the problem, I might take this to the track after the warranty's over lol But maybe I'll worry about racing wheels once I actually get to the track.
