Aside from the fact that Mazda has revealed that the automatic RX-8s actually have less than 200 horsepower (197 to be exact), all Mazda 6 vehicles now have a $2,000 rebate attached to them, further decreasing the trade-in value of my 6.

I would still buy an RX-8 in automatic even though despite its major shortcomings (not producing 200 horses), however, now that they slammed another rebate onto almost every single 6, there's no way in hell I'll be able to swap my 6 for an 8 since my car's trade-in value just dropped another thousand.

Terrible day for 2003 Mazda owners it seems..

Maybe someone who bought auto RX8 might return it for HP issue, so you can get it then. It might have like 1000 miles, but it might cost like $25000 or something like that with sports package maybe.
