If you are concerned about warranty you should buy the Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake---warranty remains. With other aftermarket stuff, warranty still applies unless the problem was caused by installation of the aftermarket part.

I've had a few scheduled service since my install of the REVi intake and there has been no issues, one of the services had the replacement of the stock air filter. I told them I don't need that because I have an aftermarket intake, they reduced the price of my service on that visit since the filter was not installed. No issues.

I'm not sure what the law is in Canada, but if it is anything like the USA (i'll investigate more on this later on), the manufacturer can only deny a claim if the aftermarket part was the cause of the problem. For example, they cannot void an engine warrenty because you put rims on your car, but they can deny suspension and possibly transmission work. In the case of an air intake, you may be denied warrenty for things like MAF sensors if they get damaged because of an oild filter for instance. In the US this is all covered under the Moss-Morresson act (i might have spelt it wrong).

And two rotors said: the mazdaspeed intake is an option, also you could just take off the intake when you go in for service but this may just be really inconvenient for you.
