I've seen some in the garage at the dealer's over a month ago, but hadn't seen one driving until this week. I had my first "road sighting" of an RX-8 on Monday in the Ville-Saint Laurent industrial park. It was a Titanium beauty, same color that I ordered. The driver said he'd pre-ordered in January; we didn't get a chance to talk much through our windows at a stop sign, but I'm primed to receive mine "as soon as it comes in next week" (we've all heard that one before).

I seen one on Friday (Aug 22) in Pickering, and we cruised together until Ajax.

I talked to him about it (Silver GT) and then told him about the forum. :)

I still have never seen another Rx-8 other than my own in real life....but my Dad saw a yellow one on the QEW between Hamilton and Burlington last night (Aug 26)

There's a yellow one in Gatineau (Hull) Québec. I saw it in a parking lot along Blvd. St-Joseph, where there used to be a yellow Integra Type R. I guess someone upgraded. :)

I saw a yellow and a blue this past Saturday at D&B!:p

i'm driving to work this morning and cruising slowly at 105 kph and i look at my rear view mirror... YES, my 1st ever sighting of another RX-8 while i'm actually driving. It was a beautiful titanium 8 .

Too bad the driver had to exit about a km later...was it any member of this forum?

Does the blue Rx-8 have a blue tinted plate cover on the back of it? (the one in Toronto), cuz if it does I seen it downtown last night a little after 4pm. :D

Mine has a blue tinted plate cover but it wasn't mine.

Saw a blue Rx8 on Hwy 7 and Weston. We stopped and talked for a bit. Still can't get over how nice blue looks.

Hahaha! For the last time that's NOT me! :D Actually it was Thursday about 3 30pm. I was going north on 10 towards Queen, you were going south. Can't remember if I waved or gave you a thumbup. My car is silver, oem body kit, tail :D , low to the ground.

So today, my first weekend after receiving my new Titanium Gray RX-8, I take my wife, her twin sister and her husband out for a spin outside Montreal. We went to drive some scenic areas with smooth, hilly roads winding gracefully through the lakes, going in a loop from Lachute to Morin Heights to Laurel to Lost River, then back to Lachute. The ride was thoroughly enjoyable and roomy enough for all.

And what did we see when we started on Route 329??? ANOTHER beautiful TITANIUM GRAY RX-8 pulling up behind us! Oncoming traffic must have thought we were going to a club meeting. After a few minutes we pulled over at the next safe opportunity and waited a bit but they didn't show up.

Note: some of the roads on this trip had been repaved last year, so they were really smooth, but some were hellish! Damn those Quebec winters. The best section, if you're looking for a nice ride in the area, was along Rte. Principale between Laurel and Rt. 364. Next trip will be the Lachute - Louisa (Chemin Dunany).

Had my first RX-8 sighting today...saw a *gorgeous* blue one sitting in the parking lot of the Burlington Mall (Guelph Ln and Fairview). I don't have to guess who it belongs to...rotorian...it looked great!!

I noticed a crappy tercel type car parked beside it pretty close...you should adopt my psychotic parking approach...all the way out to the farthest reaches where no one EVER parks. It is a longer walk, but you'll never see a door ding, ever. Plus you get some exercise!

Canada, I went down to Philipsburg yesterday and through montreal (thanks again for doing the tire thing). I saw a yellow RX8 in Dorion on the way.

I haven't seen any yellow ones yet, though that must be spectacular, just a red one in the dealer's service garage and two Titanium Grays on the road.

I went cruising downtown Montreal last night. Got many thumbs up, smiles and nods. Never would have goten that response in my old car, a Protege 5. One guy in a souped-up Subaru wanted to race. Number one, the speed limit was only 50 Km/hr; number two there was too much traffic, and number three my motor has not been broken in yet). So I politely declined!

Wise decision Canada... plus the fact that you haven't had the car long enough to know it well.

I was waiting for ZoomZoom at Arizona's on Saturday night. The light was poor, but I saw an RX-8 drive slowly down a lane beside the parking lot... the car looked red, but I assumed it must ZoomZoom (his car is blue) and it was just the light playing tricks on me... not 10 seconds later Zoom showed up in his blue car. Man, we almost had three RX8's together at one time... the red one was gone before we could flag him back...

Is it the "tri-cities" that confuses you? That is how the area where I live is referred to. Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge are end-to-end-to-end. Your own profile doesn't give a location at all, so there was nothing to say to me that you don't live here. :)

Saw a sliver 8 in the Rattray Marsh area of Mississauga. Parked in a driveway across from the lake. First one I've seen that hasn't been on a dealer lot. Belong to anyone on this forum?

A friend of mine was driving in his Civic the other day and saw a yellow RX-8 here in Van! He also said he greeted you along wif a "Nice car!" liner! Any chance of you being here at this forum?

we live in Mississauga in Lorne Park and have had our tit gray GT 6 spd w/ sunroof since mid-August so maybe it us you saw in Rattray Marsh. By the way we have never seen another 8 except at the dealer. Where do all of you drive? Westie, I'm positive it was a silver one I saw at Rattray Marsh and not a tit gray. It was parked in a driveway at a house facing the lake (no house across the street blocking the view of the lake). My wife said she say a silver one also at the Clarkson GO in one of the reserved spots. Anyone here?

I have not got my car yet but it just came in on Friday. Some of my accessories are backordered until Sept. 18th. I'm trying to sell my 96 Probe GT and until I do, I'm going to hold off taking possession of the 8. At least until all the accessories are installed.

Yellow would be mine. It's got tinted windows, spoiler, mud flaps, and a bulldog looking out the back window at you.

Only other ones I know of in the Durham region are Ron Jeremy's black one, and a red one that's getting dressed up by the owner of the Whitby Mazda dealership.

I've since seen it a third time, on Ottawa at River two weeks ago. I honked, but I was in a cube van so I don't think the driver (a blonde lady) realized that the beeping was for her... :)


North Waterloo Mazda's only RX-8 was a black GS, which they sold back in August to a 63 year old gentleman (so they said.) I don't recall (and don't have the info) if the GS has a spoiler. Maybe this was the guy... ?

I just saw my first last night, about 9:15PM Oct 13. The Titanium was just passing Prescott. Followed it for a while, dreaming of when mine will come in.

Mine's titanium, so Jasper's sighting wasn't me. I did see a red one a couple of times on Blvd Gouin in Ville St-Laurent & Cartierville (Montreal) - it looked great!!! I can't tell you the number of thumbs up and compliments my car has garnered. Several rolled down their window & asked how much it cost. When I told one guy I paid $200 for it and the rest ($38,000) was paid for me as a company car, he said "I want to work for that company!". Here are some of the descriptors I've heard when my RX-8 was sighted by non-RX-8 owners:

The Keiswetter dealer has a yellow one with all the upgrades as a demo but I've never seen it. They are selling a lot of them so we'll see more soon.

Yeah, I was one of the first to take delivery in Burlington (along with rotorian)...mine came in the same time as Scott's at Burl Mazda.

I've got just about all of the exterior accessories on mine:
-Front Aero Spoiler
-Front Mud Flaps
-Rear Deflector
-Side Deflector
-Rear Spoiler
-Front Rotary Accent
-Rear Rotary Accent
-Exhaust Finishers (which aren't worth buying btw, you can't even see them)

I'm also about to store my 8, and will likely pick up some strakes over the winter.

I was driving my truck when I saw it. I didn't realize what it was right away ( duh ), and I said to myself " that car looks sweet".

After I realized it was an RX8.... I was so depressed .... I went home an took the cover off mine just to get a look at it.

I didn't know what the RX8 was becasue I worked a 16 hour shift. :o

I was in Hywich, Essex UK this week and saw a titanium just like mine parked in front of the 'Manor of Groves' inn. The biggest difference was the steering wheel on the right hand side.

Saw a few this past week. :)


First one was last Sunday, the 18th, in Waterloo. A titanium grey 8 was waiting to turn onto University from the bottom of the expressway off-ramp. There were sheets of paper taped to the windshield and it looked like there were 2 or 3 people in there. I honked and waved and I think the driver spotted me just after I passed him.

I've seen the 2nd one twice. Lightning yellow, driver was wearing glasses and appeared to be asian (damn hard to tell with the door's tint being so dark.) Saw him Monday and then again Thursday on the same route, so I'm pretty sure this is his to-work route; up the expressway and then across Bridgeport...

Third one was yesterday at Square One. Titanium grey, he was at the first lights on Rathburn Road just off Hurontario, a few cars back from the front. I was turning off of Rathburn and was too far away to honk or anything. :)

I bought my car at Guelph City Mazda and picked it up on April 17. I got a bunch of free stuff for the car including free spoiler, free tinted windows, and free air outlet garnishes (silver thingies on the side)

You are correct, I am asian and I wear glasses. You got good eyes.

Saw another one yesterday (Saturday) in Kitchener at 5pm. Velocity Red. Followed him from Victoria Street onto the expressway and then down to the #8 interchange. The thing was, he was 3 cars ahead of me going down the on ramp, I was blocked from advancing by a pickup, and by the time I got through that he was out of sight. :( A 150 km/h jog and I did catch up, but the 8 was already entering the interchange... Next time! ;)

I had the pleasure of seeing Krazy8's black 8 out and about last night.

Too bad it was dirty.. ;)

Unfortunately I wasn't in my 7. I would have showed him up when we came up to the Yonge exit off of Hwy7. He had that 8 going pretty quick after the light turned green. Luckily he slowed down. That's a pretty dangerous place to get the car up to speed. Cops hide around that corner all the time. Nobody can see the pigs just before the downhill.... :)

I lost him after we entered Dudebridge. I was hoping he would stop at the Tim/Wendy's hangout.... but alas....

I wonder where all the people have gone nowadays... All the popular spots are deserted.... :(

Seen a silver 8 going south on Durango in Las Vegas 2weeks back.

You can see me going East on Sahara AV and East on Desert Inn RD every day in Vegas thats how I get to work on Paradise RD.

i drive on qew then gardiner south bound every morning (around 8 am)...then back the other way around 5 pm.

During this trip i always see a yellow 8 on the other side of the highway.

I drive a Silver with a bunch of accessories on, and I've seen a yellow 8 in Maple around keele and major mac a few times, he even waved once.

Anyone here???

June 4th, heading into Toronto on the 401 from Kitchener. I was coming up on the 407 interchange when I realized that there was something familiar about the car I was passing. A Winning Blue 8. I didn't catch the plate, but when I got ahead of him I hit the hazards for a few seconds before jumping onto the 407 eastbound...

Last night. After finishing installing new fuel lines in my 7 I hit the road for home at 11pm. As I entered Breslau (small village east of Kitchener) a tit grey 8 appeared at the next crossroad ahead of me (Menno St.) I was shocked - Breslau's not the place you'd expect to find an 8, if only because most of the streets are pretty ratty.
He pulled out behind me (damn, those lamps are bright) and we went out and onto the 17 into Kitchener. There was traffic around us and I was a little nervous about things popping apart on my new lines, so I didn't try to play much. The driver and I looked at each other as we parted ways at Lackner...

"Escorted" a silver 8 on my way home from Ottawa Monday. On the 401, westbound, from Campbellville to Guelph. Driver either didn't realize I was in a 7 or didn't care. :(

You guys shouldn't be allowed to buy the 8 until you can prove that you know what the prior generations look like! ;)

Sighted a V Red on Steeles Ave., westbound, just east of Yonge Mon. July 5. He was on my left. Red light. I have seen so few I was excited and waved. He ignored and gunned it on the green. Nice warm feeling. Thanks, Buddy!

Man, out here in Van, I saw 2 silvers, and one titanium in the last few days, and all of them either smiled and nodded, said hi when side by side, or waved, so, it seems like a lot of fellowship out here :)

Got a nice surprise when I went to hop in my car in the Home Depot parking lot in Burlington....and a nice silver 8 was parked beside my Red 8.

Woo hoo ! Better than a sighting. As I was rolling out of a Tim's parking lot on Vic Park this morning, a Ti RX8 from Gyro Mazda was coming in. We both had to stop because of congestion. I called over to the driver, an Asian fellow. "Nice car! Are you a member of the Rx8 Club?
Looking friendly but undertandably puzzled, he shrugged, "What club?" [On second thought, I don't blame him].
And so I told him. He said he'd definitely be checking us out..

I'm actually close to the downtown core (shudder.) But I'm through Ottawa and Strasburg several times a week, usually late in the evening.

If the 7 was worth admiring, she probably wasn't mine. :) I've spent most of this year under the hood, so the paint has been neglected and is in poor shape all around (note attached pic in previous reply - that car was RED when it left the factory.) :(

Other ways to tell if its mine:

- AMUR G2 license plate

- your eyes are watering and you can't breathe :D

I saw a black rx8 in the parking lot of the baymac center on the corner of bayview and major mac.....I actually parked my Ti Gray next to it to step in to a store for a few mins, but when I got back, the car was still there, so I doubt anyone noticed.

I also saw a blue one in the village gate plaza at bayview and weldrick.

I've also seen that mmtoasty 8 around Richmond Hill at least 4 or 5 times now.

Saw a red one this afternoon at 2:40pm. He/she was northbound on highway 24 just coming out of Cambridge. Hit the horn twice (I was in a dump truck at the time :D .)

Whenever I'm in my FD RX-7 I get attention easier, but never spot RX-8s... or even other RX-7s for that matter!

We paved the parking lot of a factory in the megatropolis of New Hamburg, outside Kitchener. As we're puttering along, I watched a blue 8 come and go throughout the day from a house directly across the street.

At the end of the day, I ran across the road to say Hi.

Turns out it belongs to a lurker here - forgot the handle he told me. Nice guy though. So there's at least one sighting (for me) with a distinctly happy ending. :bigthumb:

Weird: I've been told by 2 fairly reliable, independent sources that I have been sighted in the eastern reaches of Toronto, on two occasions. Under advanced interrogation procedures, I admitted, "Sure, I was there. So?"

That is a real moose, I live in Wawa which is near Chapleau and my brother-in-law was coming from Timmins and also saw that albino moose.

I saw a titanium grey 8 while I was with my black 8 in the parking lot of Square One in Mississauga last Friday evening, around 8:30 pm or so. I honked and waved, he waved. Then we left in opposite directions.

Two 8's today. A Silver GT parked right behind me near Dunbar and 41st, and a Titanium GT by the Coquitlam Ikea. The second guy had a custom plate, but I couldn't make it out.

Live in Ajax and work in Markham.

On my way to work at around 8:45 every morning see a black 8 coming south on Brock Rd from the 407. Also see a yellow 8 on the 407 out east near Brock Rd a lot.

Also played slopitch against a markham business league team and noticed our competitor had a black 8 but didn't have a chance to say heh before he left.

Exchanged waves with the driver of a black 8 on Friday morning at Kingsway and 12th on my way into the Cancer agency. Saw another 8 (for the life of me I can't remember the colour) later that day as well... was with the wife in the VW Golf at the time though :-(

Black 8 southbound on the DVP at about 1am. Neo, charr33 and I gave chase and after a bit he seemed to respond. So that was one red/orange 2nd gen 7 and two 3rd gens (montego blue and red) playing all the way down to Richmond (it was Richmond, right?) Speeds were right up there at times. :)

We saw him again about 15 minutes later in the cross traffic west of the downtown core... Never had to chance to see the plate. :hah:

Hi there...I am from Massachussetts. Me and the wife were visiting Toronto. As we were driving around Toronto, I spotted a Titanium Gray at an intersection. It was heading east on Lake Shore Blvd. We were heading west. The driver waved at me and we exchanged thumbs up. Also saw a black one at that very moment, he was heading west with me, but didn't acknowledge me. I waved but he didn't wave back...haha

Well I'm from Ottawa and I rarely see 8's, I took a trip to Maine and back to Quebec City then through Mtl to Ottawa, it took 7 days in the 8. Got lotsa looks, emptied a few gas stations (they don't see many 8's in rural Maine, and saw only three 8's in all that time.
Saw a red one at Bar Harbour, I was going in he was leaving, honked at me but I wasn't fast enaugh.
Saw a black one in Quebec City, and followed a Red one in Mtl on the 20.

PS I'm the very proud owner of a red 8.

Not many of them in Ottawa.

Creeping eastbound from Pearson airport on 401 about 5:00 pm today 26 August..about 16 lanes funnelling down to 6 or ?? Total zoo..an 18 wheeler transport pulled up on my right and the driver motioned. I thought he was P.O'ed that I had cut him off.. didn't think I had,.. then he signalled to roll down my passenger window.. didn't know what to expect so I thought he wanted to merge in ahead of me. I kind of waved him in. He gives me the index finger and thumb A-Ok salute and calls.. "Beautiful car man! Really nice!" I smiled, waved and mouthed "Thanks, man!"

Further east 401 Express near Keele St. I spotted a Ti Grey in the right lane ... gave a wave.. he looked straight ahead as though I wasn't there. Huh?

No exterior accessories? It probaly wasn't me, but I'm a huge advocate of the 410 :) on it at least 3 times a day on my "fun" drives around brampton. I have a black 8, with the metal side things and a spoiler. I haven't seen another 8 in a long time and i drive every day downtown(last one i saw was a month ago :(.. Where you guys/girls at!

I have a black 8, with the metal side things and a spoiler. I haven't seen another 8 in a long time and i drive every day downtown(last one i saw was a month ago :(.. Where you guys/girls at!

Passed a Black 8 on 41st Ave (both of us westbound) just west of W Boulevard, he/she was stopped waiting for a car parallel parking. Looked like they stalled as well, I saw their lights go off, then come back on similar to how they do when you restart.

could be they pulled the handbrake? our headlights go off if you pull the handbrake
speaking of which, they come in handy tailing creeps.... there was this guy with a light blue last gen MPV (147 EEL plate if you see him in your neighbourhood)driving slowly through my neighbourhood's backlanes a week ago, and to make it less obvious I was tailing him, I pulled my handbrake slightly (before it engages, but shuts off my day time running lamps). Took him 10 mins before he realise I was tailing him and took off onto king edward...

Well... I doubt they'd put the parking brake on when they were in the middle of a lane, then suddenly switch it off. They weren't parking at all, just got stuck in the curb lane waiting for someone to pull into a slot.

Saw a silver one last night, (yeah an other one on the same day, what are the chances?) I was making a right to go north on Leslie off York Mills and he was travelling north on Leslie, by the time we realized eachother, and blinding eachother with our light (man they are bright aren't they hehe), twe exchanged, huh...hey...oh..too late...looks. So I make the right and travel north on Leslie hoping to catch up with him, and wouldn't you know it, he made a U-Ee and we go blarring by eachother again. (dang I say, dang) Anyways if you're on the forum give me a shout, I work close by. Oh, I was going to make U-Ee myself, but I was heading out to a welcome at the old homestead, it was 8:00pm ish.

saw a red one right before the fisherhallman exit in Kitchener-Waterloo. Took a good look at his car, noticed his liscense plate had some sort of blue cover, and he didnt have a front air damn or the rotary crests....

Titanium Grey 8 turning westbound onto 41st from a Side Street (one block west of Yew).

Sunlight Silver GT West bound on 41st stopped at Cambie Street. Looked like he had strakes and tinted windows. Gave him a small wave, don't know if he saw me.

Black GT with two guys in it southbound on 10th as they crossed Kingsway in front of me.

Velocity Red parking in the canada's wonderland parking lot on sept 2... anyone here?


Velocity red parked by the prince of wales hotel in Niagara-on-the-lake today... I was going to stop and try to talk to the owner... but he was with his wife and I'm basically just a kid. I was driving a company delivery van at the time so he probably wouldn't have taken me seriously anyways.

Titanium Grey 8 with Tinted windows, strakes, and rear spoiler on the sea to sky highway. Passed him, and later he turned off at Porteau cove.

I don't beleive it myself, but I saw three.

6:50ish pm First one was blue travelling south bound on Kenndy, I was with my wife in the Mazda 3 making a left off 14th.

7:00pm second one was a T-grey travelling westbound along HWY 7 and went on the on ramp Southbound, if I recall correctly. Had a spolier and the rear accent.

7:20ish pm third one was a black one travelling southboud on Shirely towards Major Mac, we were driving home northbound.

Why is it that I see this many when I'm not driving my 8? Anyway, anyone from here?

Don't you think it's silly to continue with this type of thread?? Honestly, I see RX-8's all over the place now... It would take forever to describe all of them. Hell, I've got 4 neighbours with RX-8's parked out in their driveways!!

Just last night I saw 3 of them. At least 3 new ones, as opposed to the regular ones I see every day....

Face it guys, you're no longer unique!! LOL You guys are becoming just as bad as all the G35's I see around town!!! lol :cool:

in some areas they're rare to see. And its not all about the uniqueness, its about the feeling you get when you see another one, and plus a lot of people appreciate other people sighting their RX-8s and posting them on this thread..... Do you even own an RX-8?
