It's a little outdated but still a pretty cool database of racetracks around the world.

My best time: TAKA 1:31.450

Winton (http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/winton.html)
My best time: TAKA 1:43.666 (Evidence here )

Wakefield Park
(http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/wakefiel.html)
My best time: TAKA 1:14.864 (evidence here)

VIR's 4.2 mile "Grand East" configuration is often called the longest road course in North America. Just curious- other than the Nurburgring, are there ANY other road courses longer than VIR ???

Road America is 4.0 mi. There is a new track in NJ that will be 4.1 mi. If it is 4.2 mi, then it would be the longest in N.A. (Road America is billed as being the longest in N. A.). Of course there is LaMans, but that isn't a road course. It uses public roads. Sebring used to be 4.5 mi. long, but it has been reconfigured to be between 3 and 3.5 mi.

FYI: VIR Full Course is 3.27 mi long. (reference: http://www.virclub.com/vir/index.php...=22&Itemid=109)
Miller Motorsports Park Full Course is 4.5 mi long. (reference: http://www.millermotorsportspark.com/trackOverview.cfm)

This is a really good track .... long straight , high speed bend, technical corner, and also the outside temp is really high therefore testing your car to the max in terms of reliability....

Miller IS 4.5 miles. Just watched a race there on SPEED Channel- looks like a great track- it was previously just a "club" track but had its first pro race there recently.

VIR's "Grand East" configuration is 4.2 miles (it takes the "Full Course" and adds some more ". They use that for track days sometimes but I'm not sure when/if a real race has been run on that configuration. I guess VIR's Grand East will now be "longest track East of the Mississippi"

Wink My Local

http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/mallala.html

This is my local circuit. Best time for me is 1:29:00 in an Alfa

In the 8 the WD did a 1:25:28 which is not bad really considering he had me on the pit wall ranting and raving about him thrashing my car!

Also done this one. http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/phillipi.html

Topped the old Alfa out at 200kph. and took the first turn at 180kph. Needless to say was v. scared until I got used to this track. In real life it's a wonderful piece of road. Going back this year to race again. Takes 9 hours or so to drive there but we LURVE this track makes Mallala look tame! My time around Phillip Island was a 2:13:14. The WD did a 2:03:36 in the same car...yes he can drive way quicker than me!
