What is the other vehicle? Lotus? Well, you need one sports car and one luxury sedan or suv in your driveway. I'd say switch out your other sports car for the 8........you will still get lots of attention!

looks like a Z8

If you have no real need for the X5 than swap it, but I would not give up either of the other two for a RX-8.

well you did say one, so i would choose to sell the motorcycle ;). No but in all seriousness it depends on if you need space. The rx-8 does have enough space for 4 people and a few things, but it definitely does not fill the void of a suv.

Move the bike and you can fit all 3. :)

Build a bigger garage!!! Park the X5 outside! Those are 3 sweet rides.

How about getting a car stacker, you seem to have plenty of height. Put the least used vehicule on top and the problem is solved.

If push come to shove, the X5 would be my choice off the island unless you actually tow something big with it. The M3/5 could replace the usuage of the X5 except for towing.

Or better yet knock down all of the seperate garages and make one big gargage door :). Then you can fit all 4 cars and the bike.

I think that the car on the far left is a 350 Z convertable, I am guesssing from the exhaust and the taillights.

My thoughts are keep the x5 for an SUV to get groceries, tow things, big rain storm etc.... you never know

The silver BMW if that is an M5 (I cant make out the badging) keep it always need to have an upscale luxury sedan for business etc.

The convertible I would have to know what it is.

How about building another garage

So Steve... what do you do?

Cars are BMW Z8, M3 Convertible and X5. I use the X5 as my everyday driver and my wife uses the M3. We have car seats in both so we can "trade" every now and then. I'm leaning towards trading the M3 since my wife only uses a fraction of its capabilities (and I only about about 1/4) and its a pain getting the kids in and out with the top. They're also not to fond of driving around with the top down (kids these days).

On a somewhat ironic note, we ordered the RX-8 in red so we'll end up with 2 German and one Japanese car representing the US stars and stripes.

Ah, my dealer just rang to say the RX-8 will be here in the morning. :D

car on the left looks to me like a Z8 too.

Me, I'd ditch the german ones...

blahahaha good one!

if the m3 is convertible, get rid of it cause you got the z8 for that

of course that is only if you HAVE to sell one (ie, wife says "you cant get your rx-whatever if you dont get rid of one of your other toys)

then, you gotta listen! and get rid of the m3 since its convertible and really only a two seater with just 2 more "justifying" seats in the back (like the sc430) and youve already got your 2 seat open top sport machine, the z8

goodyrx8 - I would have to keep the Z8, not going to be making them anymore (I think) plus it is just plain bad a$$.

The SRT-10 is much nicer than the '02 GTS that I sold to make room for it. Still a very raw muscle car compared to the Z8 of the 911.

Wing - Asked "Why would someone have 3 prowlers??"
Answer - Perfect way to have the family involved in my hobby. We take these out on weekend cruises, the insurance is cheap and the kids can drive them. My insurance company has a slight problem with my daughters driving the high horsepower stuff . :D All the fun of an old hot rod but reliable and covered under a manufactors warranty.

I kinda like the Prowler - it's just not my style - but don't they have ridiculously small tanks? We had one enter a local club rally last year, and the guy had to make a detour half-way to go for more gas - he said it had a range of under 150 miles!

BTW, nice collection - that's some stable you have there!

They have an 10 or 11 gallon tank. If you just cruise you should get 19 to 22 miles per gallon, if you get a little more "spirited" it will drop to 13 to 15. Not really made to be a long range cruiser.

My fiance's brother has a 2002 silver prowler and he hates it. It has gone into the shop in the past year for the following things:

It leaked gas at the neck where you fill it up

A couple of recalls: 1 of them were to have the wheels checked because some have fallen off

water in the headlights

gagues quit working

chrome coming off the rims

airbag sensor went bad

I think you need 3 just like the old Jaguar's one to drive while the others are in the shop. :D :D

PS you should supercharge the viper they become very very fast! (if they arent fast enough for you already)

Steve ur my Hero!

goody i cant imagine getting rid of any of those cars.. its a hard choice but i would have to go with the M3 like others siad.

Rx-8 is not comparable to the X5 at ALL!!!!!
X5 is more usefull in everyday life then an RX-8

Z8 limited car ive never seen one on the road.. keep it..

M3.. every rich guy in his 20s has one.. at least here in NY they are gettin more and more popular..

and the kids will like the RX-8 more.. they dont appreciate an M3 as much as they will like the look of the RX-8

SteveT

I'm surprised you don't have a lift in that huge garage of yours. Nice cars...

Dom

Steve T
08-26-2003, 10:32 AM
Lift is in there, do most of my own light maintenance and just like to poke around under the cars. I have a few detailed photos of the RX-8 underside if anyone wants to see them.

Here is a view from the other direction:

DomLee
08-26-2003, 10:59 AM
Well, that answers the whole lift question. haha.

Next question: do you have a helicopter landing pad or a private jet runway on your property?

A harrier would be a nice addition as you wouldn't need the runway.
:)

Steve T
08-27-2003, 09:56 AM
If you think the RX-8 gets bad mileage, imagine what a Harrier must get!

Get rid of the M3, get rid of the X5.

Get the RX-8, get the Evo8.

Now you'll have 3 '8' in your garage.:D
