$29,962 for GT Package Black/Red 6 Speed Manual, Rotary Accents, Tint & Spoiler

Is there anything that would stop you from taking this deal today? I'd be paying $29,962 before TTL using an S-Plan. It's Black Exterior, Black/Red Leather Interior with the Grand Touring Package. It has rotary accents, tint (from dealer), and a spoiler they put on after. I have this deal on the table and am thinking about dealing today. Would anybody NOT take this deal?

I paid 31k for mine two years ago, and it was a 6MT, GT with navi and MS spoiler...

Should have clarified that. This for an 06 with 122 miles on it.

I personally, would walk from that deal. With those options your MSRP is right at 32K. Considering there's $1500 in manufacturer rebates (at least), they're not discounting the car much at all.

I hate those miles they (or whomever) put on, and if I were you, I'd use that as leverage. "This is no longer a new car. It's been ragged on by who knows who. Not broken in properly." etc.

Remember, this is the end of the model year. Even though the '06 RX-8s were brought out mere months ago, every manufacturer is set to roll out their '07s very soon.

I'd tell them to call you when they're at least $2500 lower. The '06s on dealer lots may not be as plentiful as the '04 and '05s were, but I'm sure if you looked around within a 50 mile radius of your house you'd find lots of inventory to choose from. Two months from now there'll probably be another $1500 in incentives to boot.

yeah, 122 miles sounds like they've been using it as a test drive car. They don't always warm them up properly, and if it's been reved hard it can cause engine damage...

Mine had 6 miles when I got it.

Here's the thing. It's the ONLY black/red leather interior RX-8 in the Dallas/FT Metroplex. I've also checked about 3-4 dealerships and they don't have ANY coming in the next three to four months. Do you really think the 07's on their way out when the 06's just started coming out a few months earlier? From what I understand S-Plan is invoice pricing. I'm essentially playing invoice price (other than the spoiler and tint). Let me know what you think.

seems like a decent deal to me, you can't penny pinch forever, but if your searching hard for the best possible deal, that isnt it, and the miles do seem extremely high for a NEW car... Ide give it one more shot, using the mileage as leverage... try for sub 29k... otherwise go for it... best color combo (IMO) + tints + rotary accents/spoiler... u want it? dont wait

but for whats its worth, I got mine with all the same sh** + Navigation for 30k... an 04 in aug. 04

I'd try to get a better price or shop around for one.

Purchased my '05 GT MT in January for about $1500 less than your price. Had everything you stated plus the appearance package and the 6 CD changer.
There was a $2000 rebate at the time of my purchase but the A.P. and CD list out for about $1500 so I think you should get a better price than you were quoted. If they won't work with you go to MazdaUSA.com and use their inventory search for your area and see what cars are in stock and try another dealer. First dealer I went to here in Houston was 3 miles from my house and wouldn't come off of the sticker very much. Drove 17 miles away and got I think a good deal.
