Hi all,
just a short one to say hello. I finally found a forum with a wealth of info about the RX-8. I ordered mine in Feb 2003 and should get it in Oct 2003. I'm in the UK so don't have the pleasure of all the options list but it will be Velocity Red with black/red leather and the high powered engine. I just live the styling.

I've had a TVR Cerbera, TVR Tuscan and currently own at BMW M3 Coupe. I can't believe it but with all the power in those boys I am surprise I am even choosing an 8; but I've been encouraged by all the reviews on here. Sounds like I will really enjoy it even if the power isn't what I am used to :D

Hopefully we can have some fun in the future.

Best regards,

Lucozade.

Whoa........ went to watch the ASCARS at Rockingham yesterday and they had an RX-8 on display. First one i've seen since the UK doesn't have the cars yet.

It was more than what I expected. I am one happy person today. You are all lucky people who already have one.

I now really really really can't wait to get mine in October.

Anybody want to buy an M3?:D

Just be forwarned a lot of the good posts are pushed back a bit in the lists because of all the whiny people who arent happy with Mazda offering them their money back.

Oh, and dont forget the non-RX-8 owners who feel the need to tell us how badly we are getting screwed, Mazda sucks, etc etc etc.

ignore the crap for now and look at the old posts. There's a wealth of very good info there and the crap stuff should die down in the next few weeks

Thanks for the info mate, I have read some of the negative stuff but I feel the balance is still in favour of a fantastic car. I'm not too bothered with the lower power/spec changes. Anyway the spec has changed recently in our favour, i.e. heated seats and headlamp washers.

It's an E46 mate - know anyone that would be interested? It's a UK car - 2002.
