So sad for the Oilers.. They deserved to win after coming back from being down 3-1 in the series.. But in the end you have to be happy with Oilers playoffs. They did such an amazing job, so much better then I think anyone expected.

Congrats to the Hurricanes. They had the pressure of being the team expected to win it all and they managed to pull it off.

It was nice to see that both the Habs and the Oilers put up should a good fight against the Canes.

Hockey is better then ever. What a great season and playoffs!

Hmm.. seems kinda strange that they let the teams where hockey isn't as popular a sport win. Ie. Tampa Bay, Carolina and the next city-to-be-introduced-to-the-money-making-machine-that-is-hockey.

You see... I told you Carolina was going to win! And you doubted me! lol :)
It's unfortunate they had to take it to the last game... but I guess this is a way of making more money for the city and all the blokes who sponser this event...

What the fuck are you talking about? who is "they"? Hockey is clearly popular enough in Carolina to sustain a team, and a good team at that.

Yes. Altough I'm disappointed in the Oilers' loss, I am proud of what they accomplished these playoffs. Next year, right!? Go Oilers go! :)

Umm...they are the 7th worst attended team in the league...not exactly a hockey-crazed city if you ask me. ;)

Regardless, the TEAM plays well and has good management, but you can't credit that to their fans.

BTW, the Flames this season overall (home and road games) were the BEST attended team in the league at 102%.

No big deal!

They can't all be the maple leafs. I'm saying it's obviously good enough fan support to warrant a team there. Unless the owner loves losing money, which I doubt.

Where did you come from anyway? haven't seen you posting much.

What an impressive playoff this year produced. The hardest working teams (not the most talented) made it to the final 4. Edmontonians should be dam proud of their accomplishment. I am really pleased to see Brindamour hoist the cup. The bugger gives 110% each and every night. Show me a high quality leader, and I'll show you a serious contender for the Stanley Cup. And that is why Toronto will never win a cup with Sundin (the freeloader) leading the leafs. :ylsuper: Bring in a Gilmour or Clarke type player and you may have a chance!!

Go habs go!

Yeah Sham, and Saku is better than Mats??

40 years suck, but Toronto has given us more playoff games in the past decade than any of the Canadian teams...so there.

...but a cup would be nice.

Considering the big advantage Toronto has enjoyed as far as budget goes for the last 20 years it is pathetic that they haven't accomplished anything. Winning is a culture and it doesn't exist with the Leafs.....its kind of the same thing with the Canucks. They always under achieve.

Never said Saku was better than Sundin and also don't think he is the captain to take the habs all the wayeither, but one thing is for sure and proven, Sundin never could and there are no indications that he can in the future. Sundin is a great player, but not captain material, at least in my mind.

I wish Toronto did better so I don't have to take suck a ribbing everytime I go back to Montreal to visit freinds and family even though they all know I am a die hard hab fan.

You're right, its sad. Almost as sad as our previous scouting team. But what i said sticks, overall, no other Canadian team has been AS competitive over the past 15 years. Though I'd trade that for one cup fer sure.

Hey, wanna trade Jarome for Mats? We'll throw in the raptors.

I'm surrounded by Hab fans in here in Georgetown, they had a party here when the Leafs didn't make it in and the bastards said I was the guest of honour. I'm still bitter about th Leafs not meeting your Habs in '93...things would have been different.

Anyways, Sundin is a leader, and a top 15 player in my books. But yeah, he's no Yzerman.

So what's going on? You still have your car? Last I heard you wanted to sell it and go to China or something...Yup I sold it last Oct. I was supposed to go to China for work and then that fell through. I think it's good though, cause I got $700 worth of speeding tickets last August in one day. That car was the devil.

So now i just have a motorbike. ;)

Your 8 must of been the "lemon 8 in the west" everyone keeps refering to. Geeze hope you got at least $10G's off list and didn't get soaked when you gave it up!
