Do we really know all the colors, yet?

Think I'll wait a few days and think about it before I take this poll. I have been wavering between titanium (hard to touch-up the paint if you get a scratch), blue (depending on what shade it is and how it looks on the car), and black (what my girlfriend wants me to get). I really like black, but it gets dirty easily (although I am religious about washing my cars).

Funny how no one is voting for yellow. Have we all got tired of staring at the yellow showcar? :D

Almost any sports car looks good in black--with equal ~20% tint on all the windows. I'm getting a hard on just thinking about it (I apologize in advance for offending anybody with that statement)!!!

I think I want yellow =D. What is titanium color like a bronze?
blue is also nice. so is every color . only one i dont like is the red.
maybe a different shade of red...?

I voted for red, as I'm a sucker for a shiny red machine, but the blue might be striking enough on the '8 to sway me. I do like the blue on the 6 I saw at SevenStock.

I really want a blue one, especially if it's the deep blue that we've seen pictures of or like the blue BMW uses on their M5's. I liked the color of the car from the X-men trailer, I would be happy with that. I just hope the blue doesn't suck, like the ones you can hardly tell from black- no Easter egg blues either.

As a service to everyone else on this board I will get a Yellow to distract the cops from the other RX-8s.

This is a hard one- if the titanium is the same color as the one on the Miata, if i can get red seats I'm ALL over that.

Steve (my husband) just piped up he wants yellow with 2-toned seats, and seemed pretty put out when I told him we didn't think they were making it like that...

The red and metallic blue are pretty too- I think I'll just have to see them all in person before I make my decision!

I don't think it hurts to add the Green. My information did not include it and sometimes there can be variances by country. For example, green may sell in Germany (you know all those damn forests) and not sell here.

Leave it on, just in case they decide to add it.

Regarding the Titanium; as best as I can figure out by the paint code on the German writeup, it is the same as the 2002 Miata S.E:cool:

Me too... come on mazda, that's at least 2 people that will get titanium but want silver storm.

Who is to say that the "silber" isn't that same, or close to the "silver storm"? Remember, we haven't seen these colors in person yet...

Pearl yellow, orange, platinum or white would be sweet.:p

Told my dealer six months ago I wanted silver if it was available.

Looks like the poll slowed down... and Titanium seems to be the winner.

Blue isn't the most popular. I think I'll pick that so I don't see my colour of car too often. :)

Still waiting to see what white looks like in person though, but for now, I voted blue.

We'll have to run a poll like this again when colour choices are confirmed at the Auto Show!

Hmm, where's white? I can't imagine that they won't offer one in white in the US. I also recall seeing the spyshots of a white prototype being tested in some snowy areas (or maybe the white was part of the camoflauge disguise :)).

For me, it's either white or silver. I'd probably have to see the car in person to know if the color looks good on the car.

White wasn't on the leaked swiss preorder sheet, and boowana, who seems to have pretty reliable information has said that white won't be offered, even though a white car was seen undergoing winter testing. This information is in fact mentioned in the FAQ...

A guy I know had a really light cyan/silver TVR with black alloys... Everyone including TVR told him it would look terrible... but it was OK... looked very menacing.

I think black body with flat black wheels would look best. I don't think I will be going ghetto-retro with spray paint but thanks for the suggestion (I think?)

White.

I have seen a handful of cars where the owner actually took black spray paint to high-dollar aluminum wheels for that effect.

fuz got the recipe! Highly controversial Z orange is really nice on this car, I also like the audi TT's Cream grey :cool:

I love the color of my current Acura Integra which seems to go from a very dark green to a beautiful dark aqua when the light hits it just right. I've tried to achieve this color. Unfortunately, the closest I could come was with the following configuration (it's close but not quite the same):

It's a bit out of the ordinary. Elegant, gracefull, yet deceptive.

i would get the yellow or the titanium

0, 0, 0, 100 Black with an all black interior or with red inserts. I agree with the post that the red inserts on the steering wheel will get dirty and look bad after a few hours of driving. I am also a big fan of red (91 red Miata, red 93 Rx-7 and red 2000 S2000), and lighter colors do bring out the lines of the car, but i think that there are certain angles on this car where black makes it look sinister, like Darth Vaders personal sportscar!
