Damn it, I got my first flat tire ever today while driving on a very busy highway (us22 in Jersey). Looks like its time for me to order some new tires. Anyone have any suggesstions? Im looking for a high performance tire (better than stock) that performs well in dry and wet conditions. I was thinking of going with Falkens but I dont think tire rack carries them and I need them asap.

Go for the Goodyear F1 GS D3in 245/40/18. They are much quieter than stock, and have better grip and dry and are phenomenal in the wet. Smoother riding and have much better wear. IF you want to go autoXing or do track work then get Falken RT 615. THere isn't any better dry weather tire available for the RX8. However it is noisy , wears quickly and not a patch on the Goodyear in the rain.

Thanks for the input. I was actually considering the RT 615. Are they any good in the wet?

They are good , but nothing beats the Goodyears in the rain. They don't like being taken racing though, as the edges form little rubber shards. IF you are after a road tyre, then this is what I would suggest. However if you go tracking, then the falkens are the go.

Ok, took your advice and went with the falken's. I wanted track tires and this was my excuse to get them. Kudos!
