Took my 4-year-old son to Cars yesterday. If you're a car enthusiast and you liked Pixar's pervious movies, you'll definitely enjoy it. Two thumbs up.

Both Cars and Ronin should be on any "best cars movies" list.

I think Ronin has the award for "longest chase scene in a movie that isn't about cars".

Good chase scene tho.

I agree except for the order they are in...
Bullitt is number one (for me)
followed by Vanishing Point and Madd Maxx...

No one mentioned:
The Italian Job (the Mini Coopers were cool)
The Blues Brothers
The French Connection

loved Ronin. There also was a pretty decent car chase in the PeaceMaker and the Borne Identity...

Office Space: the scene in the beginning with them all stuck in traffic. Freaking hilarious!

I saw that one. A lower quality movie ripoff of a low quality movie (Cannonball Run). I wanted my $2 (Better Off Dead reference) back from the movie rental.

wow,
low quality ripoff off off cannonball run... look at the dates... it was the real story of the cannonball run and could not use the name (cannonball run cause it was still going on)...

sorry you did not enjoy it. but for its day... and i doubt many have seen it... and yes i am showing my age...

Gone in 60 Seconds?
Transporter

Gumball Rally was great. A cross country race between a Ferrari Daytona and an AC Cobra!! My favortie scene is where the Italian driver snaps off the rear view mirror and proclaims "The first rule of Italian driving: What is behind you is not important!"

Transporter has some pretty intense chase scenes through Paris.

I remember seeing Grand Prix when I was 9 years old on a full size Cinemascope screen. The in car footage is amazing.

Tow-lane blacktop-1971

Damn! I haven't seen that movie since it came out in 71! I saw it at a Drive-In, the way all good old car movies should be watched and had a girl under my right arm  while eating popcorn, palm palms and drinking an ice cold coke. Thanks DOMINION for the flash back. :)

I'm renting it this weekend if I can find it.
