Well, I finally got to test drive a 6 speed at County Mazda in Huntington, and boy was it a blast to drive. I won't go into everything since basically it all was covered in everyone else's posts.

But everything the everyone said was true. Almost.

Quality...excellent. Comfort...excellent. TORQUE...better than people said. I did see that, like others stated, that you are going faster than it feels. BUT, there was no question that I felt some head jerking as I gunned the gas. The dealer let me punch it on a 2 mile stretch of open road, and let me tell you its a blast. Even the brakes were awesome....and in no way did I ever feel like I didn't have control of the car.

So, we get back, and I wanted to get some idea of when my car would arrive (as my dealer had said that I should expect it mid-September, when I talked to him last week). He checked his computer, and what does he see?

STEVE, MY COMPUTER SAYS YOUR CAR IS IN MY INVENTORY.

Huh? it's here NOW? Lo and behold, I found my car sitting in front, untouched, and ready to be loved.

He couldn't believe it. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. We both were taken aback. He said in the 9 years he worked at Mazda, he never saw this happen before.

Long story short...I pick my Velocity Red 1GT 6 speed up on Saturday!

More like the elite "My car is better than most and *I* think it's the shiznit" club if ya ask me :D

But congrats! Same as my dealer getting the car a full week ahead of schedule for me to enjoy.

Shiznit was a very briefly used on TV version of shit when Snoop Dog (rapper) was getting big. Another popular phrase to come from him was "shizzle my nizzle" but I cant remember what exactly that was suposed to be :D

I'm really glad you found your car and all is cool - but this "I can' t believe it, it didn't happen in nine years" is exactly what they will tell every day to any new customer whenever they have a chance to sell a car :D
