View Full Version : Well, I did it
AlTitaniumCar 05-27-2006, 09:06 PM Just picked her up today- a 2005 Titanium Gray RX8 and I LOVE IT. I can see why there are so many rotary converts- the car is incredible! So I thought I'd finally register and stop lurking these boards and say what's up I'll post pictures as soon as I can get a hold of a digicam... So, now all I need is a couple hundred more miles to get the car autocross-ready (hahaha B stock, here I come...)
So ya, thought I'd say hello and such- great forum by the way!

cjkim 05-28-2006, 04:10 AM Any ideas on why my stereo isn't making any sound? I searched to no avail...
Did you turn it on? Is the volume up? Is anything playing? just to state the obvious
welcome :yesnod:
4 years to Supercharge 05-28-2006, 05:44 AM Welcome to the forum.
Check your manual for instructions on the stereo ;)
AlTitaniumCar 05-28-2006, 09:58 AM Well ya it's on, shows the CD playing or radio station, etc. and I've cranked the volume all the way and back, made sure it wasn't muted...
mkztg 05-28-2006, 10:22 AM Based on what you have said about the low miles I would assume you bought it new from a dealer, see if they can help you with the radio volume, unless you figured it out from the manual already.
that is strange to have it not muted and volume cranked but no output. Good luck with that and let us know what ends up fixing it.
AlTitaniumCar 05-28-2006, 10:49 AM I'm starting to think it's just not plugged in...
duh to the dealership
AlTitaniumCar 05-28-2006, 10:50 AM but then again the two rotors underneath the hood make a nice soundtrack

mdw1000 05-28-2006, 11:58 AM Maybe check to make sure you haven't hit the mute button on the steering wheel?
Congrats!
AlTitaniumCar 05-28-2006, 12:28 PM Right no mute button, oh well I just puttered around town for 34 miles today (94 miles in two days and counting) and I didn't really miss the radio much at all!
Aseras 05-28-2006, 12:43 PM welcome to the cult....
well get you a red cap and a speedo...
kudos to whoever gets that...
AlTitaniumCar 05-28-2006, 01:01 PM Life Aquatic?
The interns share a glock.
4 years to Supercharge 05-29-2006, 06:02 AM On the '04 if you turn the volume up and it had been muted it unmutes.
Another thing to check is the rear amp connections. If the sound system is on for a while the amp should feel warm.
The dealer should be able to remedy the problem.
