This year we have seen alot of powerful imports released in US.

Most of them on paper stronger then the RX-8 .. but would u consider the RX-8 and import Muscle?

If we were to say that Evo, Sti and 350z are import muscle think the RX-8 and S2000 would go in this classification?

I don't think I look at any of them as import muscle, if you're meaning that by comparing them to american muscle cars. When I think of muscle I think of large displacement noisy V8s in cars that can fly in a straight line but have a little tougher time around a track.

None of those cars are "muscle" cars. Muscle cars means big cubes straight line (mainly) car.

I guess the Japanese manufactures could make a muscle car if they wanted, I mean how hard is it to take a subpar chassis and stick in a big engine? The only problem is that noone would buy it since the muscle car crowd tends to be the "all imports are crap" people.

The Supra TT is probably the closest thing to an import muscle car this country has ever seen.

Wasn't the Skyline GTR exported to the USA then? One of the quickest cars ever made.

Nope, there has never been a Skyline GTR in the states unless you get a JDM model sent over.

Unlucky! The CEO of WorldPay took me out for a trip in his fully Nismo'd GTR once and it was somewhat astonishing. It wasn't just on rails, it was superglued to the rails. 0-60 was just over 4 seconds too. It still looked like shit of course. ;)

I think those cars are gorgeous, especially the R34, but to each his own. I think I would pick the R34 over a Carrera, it would certainly be more exclusive here and that car is a legend among the people who know what it is in the states.

I still dunno if the twin-turbo V6 is gonna do it for "muscle". Gotta have at least the V8 for the muscle guys. I think the official icon of the church of muscle is the base V8 design.

I'm not one on flashy and kit-ish but man, the R34 does it for my eyes even more than the S14 and S15 jdm silvias :)
