Hi All,
Well to make long story short, I dropped by an infinti dealership this sat, cuz my cousin was going to get a G35c and wanted me to help out.
After test driving my cousins G35c auto, the salesperson asked me how it was. I said "It's ok, I think its slightly slower than my 8, but I think a manual G35c will be the same or better than my 8". He quickly asked me to drive my 8 up front. Sure thing, so I pulled it rite next to my cousins new g35c. All the sales people came out to take a look at my 8. Then another sales guy came up (sales manager I think), and asked my how much HP and torque the 8 had. Knowing that the 8 only has 150+ torque, the sales manager doubted that the G35c auto was slower and asked me do I wanna race. I paused for like 2 seconds, then said "err. sure".
So he goes back in, then grabs a key for a blue G35c auto w/ 19". He said "lets just go for a ride in this one and no race". Ok sure, so I hopped in and he pulled out the blue G35. He stepped on it at first and I felt it was about the same as the my cousins G35c, but then, it started to feel a little faster, and it was more willing to rev then my cousins g35c. hm, strange I thought, maybe I didnt push the g35c hard enough? he asked me how'd it feel? I said, "hm, it does feel stronger....", then he kind of laughed a bit and said "haha, actually this one has a stillen exhaust, making almost 300". Cheater! haha, well, they listed the exhaust to be $2500.
anyways, quite a "strange" and "interesting" experience with a dealership, thought I'd post.
Overall, G35c and 8 are nice cars.
