I've got an Australian hi power engine in my RX-8. But for some strange reason, my car only has one oil cooler.

I was wondering how many oil coolers are fitted to other hi power engines from other countries. i know the USA get 2 oil coolers.

What would be the reason behind this move for the Australian cars?

Only one cooler for Australia is very surprising as some of your areas must get hotter than the southwest US. Does Mazda recommend a higher viscosity oil like 10w30/10w40? The 2 coolers will almost burn your hand and may be needed to keep some viscosity with the US 5w20 :eek:
