yeah, I had the metal version of this, after about 30 mins I decided to sell it off. I don't recall transformers being so painful to transform when I was a kid.

Yeah, it is quite a pain, not to mention the directions suck. I'm planning on leaving it in one mode or another for a long time and just displaying it with my other car models.

There are 2 different transformer RX-8's The white one and the Blue one with the mazdaspeed kit

i tried transforming the white one. i got everything but wasn't able to put the front wheels back on. it took 1/2 an hour....

^ yup, he tried to transform mine, but the transformer just wasnt having it. hahahahaha

here is a progression, not very good because this is only the 3rd time i've transformed it and it took me forever to get it back LOL

It actually looks really good, not too obvious that its a transformer and still kept the suicide doors.

Hey, when it was transforming, I didn't hear the sound they make... I mean come on, you didn't even write it in... Not a very good Transformer experience if you ask me.


I might have to yell at my wife, and tell her to get me one. Looks pretty sweet dude.

I have the blue one, like my 8 (not quite the right shade of blue, though). I started transforming it & got confused & it took me a couple of days to close it up again! Now it's on my "8" shelf in my classroom.

Please GOD tell me you had your dad holding that while you took the pics and that you are not a bunch of grown adults going on and on about toys.....

Hey, i'm only 29 - I grew up with Transformers so when they made an RX8 model, it was a no brainer.

Is this the plastic version?

I have a red one made of metal... there wasn't a titanium grey available. It's pretty cool, but as others said, it's a pain to transform either way. I did it maybe twice then left it alone for now in car form :)

I have the same one...I almost :wallbash: trying to transform it to robot...
no idea they stop making it...got mine in a shop in my country but had to wait
for a month due to white being too popular...anyway i think the mazdaspeed
version is a decepticon...

i also have this transformer...displayed proudly on my desk at work. btw, it is waaaaay easier to transform than the Mustang. we've had that one stuck halfway in robot mode for about 5 months now. no one can figure it out.

I have two white ones, one I have in robot form, and the other is mint in the box. I also have a red one that I bought in Japan. At the time it was $50...!! Can't find any in stores now......
