for the ones who have done it....

what is easier????? the front or back????

i have read the diys... and am not afraid to do it... but warming up with the less dificult would be the way to go...

when i did my spring install it was about even. but i didn't know much from the beginning. heh..
most have stated that the front is an easier install than the rear because the rear is multi-link.

 

Backs are easier than fronts, and less tension on the spring, so an easy gig.

Mark your rear alignment mark on the adjuster, so you know where you started from, you will need an align after, but you will be in the ballpark.

In front you have to remove the big bolt that holds the upper A arm on to the chassis - it looks like you don't need to, but you do. When you do, either remove the ABS sensor and clip it away from danger, or be REAL careful not to let the brake assembly hang on it. ($600 just for the wire harness)

haha, ok. so what lazi told me is wrong.

the rear did seem easier for me, i just didn't know if it was because i did it after learning from the front or what.

 

The front have higher pre-laod so they are a bit more difficult to put together. The install on the front is easier though once they are put together.

The rears are easier to put together...pre-load is less. They are a bit more of a PIA to get out of the car though.

You shouldn't have to remove the lower links on the rear......but it really doesn't matter as you need an alignment anyway. The toe changes quite a bit when the car drops even an inch.

Make sure you lower the car before you torque the suspension bushings if you can
