I just downloaded (515MB) the RX-8 tech highlights CD-ROM. I got it through the Kazaa network. It was an .iso file that was created on a Windows PC so I had to do a little fiddling to get it to run on my mac. It was worth it though. It had quite a lot of good technical info on the car.

Do the Australian cars get the tyre pressure sensors?

I thought I read somewhere that they did... but you'd think if they were included then Mazda would mention it in the specs.

I had a look at one of the wheels on the car I test drove yesterday... it had a small number of weights (25g?) opposite the valve (not quite exactly opposite though)... so I'm guessing that the answer is no seeing I've seen some pictures elsewhere on the forum of a lot more weights spread around the wheel on US models.

I just noticed my RX-8 only has one oil cooler. I thought the high power engines were meant to have two?

When I was at the Sydney drive day, someone asked a question about the tyre pressure sensors. The Mazda tech guys said that we didn't have them fitted (with a puzzled look on their faces like they'd never even heard of them). Ever get the feeling that you know WAY more about your car than the poeple who sold it to you?? :)
