so ive been searching around about oil's... from what i read we are recomended not to use synthetic oil and 5w20 correct?

but it seems to me that people still use synthetic oil? so im confussed what people are actually using and what i should be using... can anyone clarify?

look in the "culmalitve oil thread" RG has a great single post in there that should help clear up your confusion.

btw, how can you have accumulate over a thousand posts and not seen the many oil threads/arguements/information/misinformation ?

Why worry about what anyone else uses?

Just use what it says in your manual.

yeah i read a few different ones and they all contradict each other....

Just use what it says in your manual.


what i believe the manual says is 5w20 synthetic oil but now someone said mazda recomended non synthetic oil as shown in the link... thats why im confused.

Talk about contradicting posts......The RX8 owners manual does not say "5w20 synthetic" oil anywhere, period. I'm not sure what manual your referring to, but it's not that one. However if you read the synthetic oil threads, many owners here have used synthetic with no problems at all.If your still in doubt about it use what the manual says.
