On CBS as we speak. Started @ 1pm EDT. I caught 2 glimpses of it, once during the warm up lap and the other as it pulled into the pit after the green flag. Couldn't tell if there were any mods, front bumper looked stock.
Anyone from the Houston area know who that might be or where the car came from?

Sweet. Were you there RG? The course looked pretty sick. I bet everyone tossed their suspensions afterwards. IT was bumpier than a mofo out there.

i was there and it was really bumpy, caused a couple of spins but no accidents. Given the total lack of runoff space, the drivers in the ALMS event agreed to not drive like NASCAR for everyones sake.
tonight, I expect the Champcar race will not be as kind.

I just returned from the races and thought it ran fairly well. From a spectator's point of view, here are just a few suggestions for next year.
How about bleachers in a color other than dark green. Dark colors tend to soak up heat and it was pretty warm this afternoon causing the pine tree sap to run out of the board making a sticky, gooey mess for some.
Also, Champ car really needs to get more driver's with name recognizability into their field. It was obvious tonight that the top three finishers are by far the fastest of the field. I'm not a huge fan of NASCAR, but at least there are always about 10-12 racers that seem to always have a shot at winning a race.
Those cars really howl!!
