Hi members,

Anyone has these fitted in one's 8, or as default? I'd swear by having these on my ride (my Saab has it both sides), yet I am kind of out-of-breadth chasing my PI SE to verify with japan on availability/price; seen this offered in the 8's specs on Aus/NZ/UK websites. Short of swimming across to try get these :sweatdrop Questions:

(1) Does the MM version comes with it?
(2) Is it a priced option by Mazda, at all?
(3) Any local shop that does add-on/customised versions? (other than the round convex add-on mirrors)

Thankyou You in advance..!

I had come across a Spore AutoCar Magazine and theres a dealer that sells stick on Wide angle Side mirrors

Just look for the correct size and double side tape in on to the original side mirror.

I'm also looking for one, need to go over the magazines again to find it.

King105MM's version comes with it on driver's side.

IMHO, you don't need it on passenger side.

Hi Morganoh,

I thank you in advance and patiently await :)

Hi Mugo,

Thanks for the response - at least we could perhaps try our hands on one Right, thru MM's 8 members, or indent thru workshop.. ?

The reason for wanting both is part of my driving discipline - I treasure my ability to scan and know (L/R) road conditions behind, and enjoy being able to respond/switch lane safely and swiftly. My thinking is that if I could extend this 'agility' to the great 8, it would be fantastic!

Cheers.

Thanks. Japanparts notified me last week that they have sourced this.. Quite impressed with their attention, must say. I am ok with the price tag, it's just that I could not confirm with Japanparts (language barrier, I guess) on whether it's wide on both sides.. Am sending D-tech descriptions to my fren in Japan and c if it helps..

Unless any kind soul able to read the description can help? Cheers.

It says abt SGD$180 for a pair. So I guess it's wide for both sides. Else they wd sell only one side.

Hi all,

I'd like to summarise, for all's reference, the options that I have explored so far, in increasing order of my preference:

(1) Stick-on round mirrors
(2) Snap-on rear-view in-car mirror (wide sides)
(3) Indent through MM Car - RH side mirror (only)
(4) Japanparts.com - custom-made D-Technique pair of wide-angle sides, anti-glare tinted
(@ $200 shipped)

The one that Morganoh mentioned is probably local supplier for Twister Vision Mirrors (entrustauto.com) which unfortunately none for RX-8..

I guess these are, for the moment, the exhaustive options (have chkd US/UK, etc). Thanks to all who have helped contributed. Cheers.

Is it that they did not bring in the Rx8 model mirror or is it that the manufacture did not make one for Rx8.

If theres one for Rx8 and its much cheaper. (which I do not know how much)
Would there be any one else interested?

Lets do a mass order????

They will be willing to do a custom order if its a min of 50 pairs.

Each pair is only $98.

Hope that this will work, cos 50 sets is not going to be easy.

$98 is what the distributor told me and he said that I got to get it from the dealers. so maybe after some bargining maybe able to go lower than $98
