What can cause my exhaust to keep getting pops everytime I go higher then four and half or higher when changing gears?

Any idea? Is it burning gas too rich? What can cause it.

Thanks for any information

Is it new? If it is, there is a break in time where this will happen. Atleast there was on one of my past vehicles.

No, it has 38000 miles on it already. It does look like the owner before me got an after market exhaust or something on it. The tip in the back looks alot bigger then the stock one.

I cant seem to find a name on the exhaust either. I looked all over. It could be the exhaust do you think

yeah, most aftermarket exhausts have that 'pop'

they all have that pop. it's due to your car pouring fuel into the exhaust and the popping comes from it hitting the hot exhaust pipe/cat. It's normal. You can fix it by getting an ECU like interceptor-x and leaning out the AFR at the higher rpms.

if you take out the cat, that pop become flame
