Is anyone out there from the Kansas City area? I'd like to know how many of us are out on the road....

I live in lee's summit missouri. I picked up my black gt rx-8 on tuesday of this week. It was the first one from my dealer.

I dont have one. but I saw a Black one at hooters on 40 highway last week (friday the 8th) so i dont think it was you rotar_dude

If we get enough RX-8's we should get together. I am in Lenexa.

I am just down the street in Overland Park. We will be picking up our Titanium RX8 GT the first week of September (hopefully it is here when they say it will be here). We are always down for meeting. Actually what do you have going in a couple weeks....

I wish I had time to check the forum this weekend, I was in Blue Springs working the American Legion Baseball tourney. I could have stopped by to pay homage to your 8. :D

I'll be test driving one in St. Louis later today. If I like it, I'm placing my order on the spot.

-stormchase- Those fields are like 10 minutes from my house. Next time your in town say something on the forum.

Stormchase - If your going to St. Louis, go to the Mazda dealer in St. Charles. I got my car there. I walked in Friday, test drove one and they had one to my specifications by the next monday.

They were one of the few dealers that will actually find the car you want and get it to you fast. No waiting lists or build lists.

Rotar_Dude - I don't know when I'll be out that way next. The tournament I worked moves to Crowley, LA (about 20 mi west of Lafayette) next year. I might head that way when wrestling goes to the big Lee's Summit tourney if I don't have basketball games to work back here.


myrx8 - The father of a softball player who graduated a few years ago is a salesman at another Mazda dealer so I ordered the car last night thru him. They had just sent in an order for several RX-8's, but they were able to alter one of them to my specs...It *should* be done at the factory during the 1st wk of Oct (est). Thanks for the info on the rapid response at the St. Charles dealer though. I'd like to get the car ASAP but I figure I can use the lead time to save some $$$ either for my first payments or as an additional down payment.

We should all meet in the KC area. I was the first one out of sunflower mazda (July 30th) and i have talked to Mrs. SHOWOFF about a "rx-8 meeting". Just let me know when and where we should meet. I still haven't seen another rx-8 on the road and would love to chat with other owners.... BTW, that was me at Hooters on 40Hwy. :D

Last year we estimated 150+ cars and well over 200 people...come out to Shawnee Mission Park on September 13th for the biggest collection of import, domestic, and euro cars and trucks in the area. We will have hot food, cool drinks, hot women, and cool cars/trucks from all over the KC Metro!!! I'd like to add myself to the list of KC owners. I've recently picked one up Feb 2004. I managed to see another black 8 in Belton MO, last weekend. They parked nose to nose with me. It had MO plates.

Yay Yay another rotary owner! I'm in Overland Park off of 95th and Antioch.

I talked with my wife about Rotary Revolution and I think that we'll be going. I'm going to do a couple of other things to the car 1st.

Tanabe Springs, Midpipe, and an APR wing. I need a deal on a brake upgrade if anyone can help.

Well...I don't know about the exact number from KC going but I do know that Sunflower Mazda is supposed to have mailed every RX-8 owner in the KC area about attending the event.

I'm going to talk to Northtowne Mazda this Saturday and get a test drive. After that, all I'll have to do is sell my truck. Then there will be one more driving around the Lee's Summit area. I live in Greenwood actually.
