Do you think anyone has actually tested this with timing gear or are they all using the quoted Mazda figure. I just find it strange because normally the cars mags do vary a few tenths of a second from the manafactureres figures and from other mags? The Autoexpress comparison test last week had some different numbers, including in-gear times which Mazda don't publish so I think they did some independent testing. However, these are pre-production cars so I'm not sure if it really means anything. AnilS 08-15-2003, 11:06 AM ChrisW, if these are pre-production cars, do you think Mazda would be under hand and supplied 250ps cars rather than than 231ps cars ? It would'nt be the first time a car manufacturer has handed over a more powerful car, to make it look good. Disappointingly, if they have, the 0-60 time should have been better. After all that Mazda have done (or not done), I wouldn't put it past them. AnilS. |
