Im guessing to see how rx8 are doing, what condition they are in. Thats what im guessing, they just want to know how the car is after being driven by a customer in whatever conditions you experiance. bascho 04-27-2006, 09:05 AM Does anybody think they know why Mazda would like to buy my 2005 white RX8 back? It's just a marketing scam. They want to buy your car, 'er.. I mean trade in your car so you buy another car.. so now they can make money on the used car sales AND the new car sale.. It's a scam, only time it's worth looking into is if you really are interested in selling you car. --Mark Transam kid 01 04-27-2006, 11:49 AM Tell them i will sell them my car at cheaper than what its worth Jedi54 04-27-2006, 01:08 PM It's very normal to get dealer offers to "buy your car". DOMINION 04-27-2006, 01:09 PM Does anybody think they know why Mazda would like to buy my 2005 white RX8 back? Yeah I do. They said they need a co. car :rollingla KYLiquid 04-27-2006, 01:36 PM ive had dealers try that in the past.....dont go for it. BunnyGirl 04-27-2006, 02:51 PM I had a dealership in the area call me and try to purchase my car from me three days before I picked it up!!!! They saw it in the local inventory coming in and apparently they wanted it and my dealership told them it was presold and wouldn't do a dealer trade or anything so the dealership ended up asking me about it. The only way I would forgo my car and wait for another special order one would be at a substantial profit which was not going to happen. josh989 04-27-2006, 05:52 PM i'd consider selling my car back, but when they refused to pay what i was asking, i'd keep the car. VikingDJ 04-27-2006, 06:10 PM They did this to me in my STI actually, but that made more sense because the demand is very high for the STI used. Definitely a scam to get you back in dealership. Remember trade ins = more money for them. You live in NJ, and it makes sense, because that is the car scam job capital of the world. I bought my rx8 in NJ, and I had to sort through all their little games and BS before getting the car I wanted for the price I wanted. Then agsain, PA isn't much different, they are just nicer when they try and rip you off and fool you. ;) nace0088 04-28-2006, 08:19 AM Thanx for the info guys I appreciate the help.I wasn't planning to sell it back anyway. Duke15 04-28-2006, 09:22 AM It is probably because white ones are slower and they want them off the street... StewC625 04-28-2006, 09:29 AM That and the white ones look like rentals. YOU TOO  STEW! born2drive 04-28-2006, 10:14 PM They can have mine.... ...if they take over the loan payments :) swerver 04-29-2006, 12:19 AM Same difference as the ads on TV...."Hey, we'll accept any trade in and give you money back for your car, no matter the condition. Come see us today". .......etc, etc...... ad infinum............ NgoRX8 04-29-2006, 12:21 AM how much are they offering? Xantium 04-30-2006, 02:32 PM I think I like white more than any of the other colors... besides that color shift red and black. I'm getting tired of black cars and it looks like you can only get that red with some crazy shinka package. Xantium 04-30-2006, 02:33 PM That and the white ones look like rentals. LOL you aren't allowed to bash other colors when yours is yellow :Eyecrazy: BunnyGirl 04-30-2006, 02:55 PM I really like the "rare" yellow!!!! I can't say that I care for the white too much. About a year ago when I made my first actual look at the car the dealership had one of every color sitting there (except yellow since they were all 05s) and two white ones. Well, seeing them all sitting there in the sun together convinced me that the blue just really stood out and I definitely wanted that color. The white was my least favorite. It looked kinda yellowed like dirty snow, no offense. It doesn't look like a bad color but it definitely doesn't grab me. It's missing the head turning, grab your attention look of a brighter color, especially for a sports car. The blue really stands out, the red really stands out, the yellow really stands out. I like the silver/gray also but they don't stand out so much. I will never own a black car since it is so hard to keep the paint looking nice so I never thought too much about what it looked like. :) The green was okay but it's not a color high up on my list of likes. UFGator12 04-30-2006, 03:18 PM LOL you aren't allowed to bash other colors when yours is yellow :Eyecrazy: BUUUUUUURN! Ike 04-30-2006, 03:27 PM Subaru NEEDS my white WRX, they sent me something yesterday. Should I tell them I don't have it anymore? I don't want to hurt their feelings, they seemed really excited about it :( Xantium 04-30-2006, 09:29 PM BUUUUUUURN! Lol sorry... You have to understand that I'm coming from NASIOC and trying to adjust to the way thing are here. I remember finding a picture on here of some kid wearing a tie.. pink popped shirt.. green checkered pants.. and he just put neons and interior lighting all over his rx8. .... No one on here gave him a hard time at all! I couldn't believe it, nasioc would have torn him appart (while referencing srt4's and of course traveling through hyperspace). So basically I'm a little bit hardened by the streets of nasioc :mdrmed: and have to get used to the fluffy bunny land of rx8club. I even had to ask every one around me here at work if my car looked yellow (out of the window) or ever noticed that it looks yellowish in any type of light. I did notice some pics on this sight of a white 8 against snow which looked yellowish. It doesn't ever snow here so I don't know. When the white 8 is clean (even when it's not clean) it is quite striking looking and most comments on my car include some kind of mention about "what kind of white paint is that?" In general pictures it might look generic white but is far from it in person. There is definately a lot of deep pearl in the paint that is not noticed in lackluster pics. I didn't even consider getting white but we were drawn to it over the other colors at the dealer and the dealer even told me that the white 8 draws the most attention at the lot (maybe he just wanted to sell it but this isn't the white 8 I bought or the place I bought my white 8, my white 8 came directly off the showroom floor). The Whitewater Pearl is quite a bit different form say a Chevy truck white and emits a kind of "glow" that is hard to explain in words. Ever seen a white 8 at night, under city lights on wet streets? Wow! :Eyecrazy: But... what ever floats your boat and no offense taken. :) F22C1 05-01-2006, 11:26 PM Does anybody think they know why Mazda would like to buy my 2005 white RX8 back? Do a Search. |
