Autocrossers - How Hot is Too Hot?

At the last event, my water temp reached 107 degrees C. I got off of the gas, and coasted the rest of the run, thinking that was too hot.
As soon as i pulled in, the temperatures quickly went back down.

So my question is... how hot is too hot?

turn that heater on full blast and that will help lower your coolant temps

you shouldn't be overly concerned until it starts climbing over 115 degC with the OE radiator cap and standard coolant

clyde,
The gauge was beeping, and it killed my focus. I wasn't sure which one was going off until I checked. I'm just glad it wasn't the oil pressure gauge. That would have been a much bigger issue.

TeamRX8,
Thanks for the info... i'll make sure to reset my warning settings.
Are you running water and wetter instead of the regular coolant?

Im running Engine Ice in mine, did my first tear down to check for any damage from the 14,000 miles of S/C beating plus 24,000 stock miles, no problems what so ever, no corrosion at all and no unusaul wear from heat or anything else. I started using the stuff in my quad and noticed alot less heat radiating of the motor. Since I added it ive never had to add a drop of coolent in either machine. Its kinda of expensive, you can find it a motor cycle shops for $17 a 1/2 gallon.
