I know many of you are going to say I dont need one, but a lot of you will agree that there is quite a bit of oil collecting in your intake. My question is to someone that has installed a catch can on there stock rx8. Which tube should I replace with the catch can? I know there are 3 or more of them and was wondering which would be most beneficial. also, my catch can has two spouts on the top of it. can I use each of them for a different purpose. for example could I use one for the oil adding run off and one for another tube? or does there have to be a complete cycle from the oil spout into the catch can and then back to the intake? can I just block it off? thank you for the help

Those two spouts you are referring to, one is an inlet, the other in an outlet. It's designed to be put inline with only one hose. 3 lines would need 3 catch cans.

stop overfilling your oil, and you'll stop getting oil in your intake ;)

or wait a little until i get some pics of the new PCV system on the 2006 RX-8s;) im goign to see how easy it is to retrofit- its purspose is to keep the oil out of the intake and to help some with the oil froth on the dipstick in the winter

over filling the oil is not the only time you will get oil in the intake. which one is the PCV system hooked into. the only reason I am doing this is because I had to replace a MAF and I think this is the reason for it. I hate how you cant ask a question on this website without beginning an arguement. I know that the oil can get there from over filling I would just like to stop what I can.

Yes.

Someone can overoil their K&N. A old dealership trick to start flooded cars is to pour auto transmission fluid down the intake to restore compression. Prior to the "M" flash, US owners were reporting of red fluid in their intake......
