Talk to Ryan Uchida.
Thanks Mike, it sounds clean............
and before XXDEEDUBXX asks; I'm still considering the rims being powdercoated or painted.
airspeed 04-20-2006, 06:40 AM Where did the stock radio go, are they still needed for the A/C controls to work?
Do you lose the beeps that sound when changing the A/C settings?
XDEEDUBBX 04-20-2006, 10:27 AM Thats so sick JR!!! Your console looks badass! Looks almost OEM! Congrats man! Now you have to come down to the next meet so we can see what it sounds like!
XDEEDUBBX 04-20-2006, 11:09 AM and don't forget to get your rims powder coated! hahha
jrb_dakine 04-20-2006, 08:04 PM airspeed - What's left of the factory radio has been relocated to the trunk behind the subwoofer enclosure, and yes it is needed to have the a/c control to work. I never liked hearing the stock headunit beep, so it was always turned off so I really don't know what you're refering to in the a/c control beeps.
Bryan - thanks for the comment.
XDEEDUBBX 04-21-2006, 10:24 AM jr, is your fabricated dash made out of fiberglass? they painted it as well?
Rotary Rasp 04-21-2006, 10:27 AM i love the dash!
jrb_dakine 04-21-2006, 06:05 PM Bryan - The dash is made out of fiberglass and is painted to match the rest of the cars interior.
Rotary Rasp - Thanks..........
forbidden 04-21-2006, 06:24 PM I can hear the guy who was doing the sanding and painting of the dash bezel from here.
XDEEDUBBX 04-21-2006, 06:29 PM i wonder how the console sits..brackets in back bolted? 3 m tape? i don't know shyt about car audio...hahah
jrb_dakine 04-26-2006, 09:26 PM Bryan - The faceplate is attached with screws to the factory mounting locations. No 3 m tape!!!!!!
MyRXdrug 05-10-2006, 12:06 AM Wow that is awesome. Exactly what I want except no one is building one for mass production! Even then I don't think of many places here that can do an install like that
VarneyMazda 05-10-2006, 07:36 AM Looks sick how much did it set you back for the custom fab.
jrb_dakine 05-13-2006, 01:47 AM MyRXdrug - thanks for the comments.
VarneyMazda - I would really suggest that you give Ryan Uchida a call @ Creative Car Audio and Motorsports. Check your PM.
presequel 05-13-2006, 04:20 AM thats an awesome setup.
Jedi54 10-09-2006, 01:37 PM wow, that is a SUPER clean install!
I'm actually heading down to Creative this week to talk to Ryan about something I want done on my car.
Jedi54 10-11-2006, 01:27 PM Went to go visit Ryan on Monday and it looks like they'll be bringing a pretty sweet RX-8 to SS9 (can't give details right now)
Jrb: how long did you leave your car there for the job?
