I was just thinking how much do you guys think it would cost roughly if I were to go to the dealer and have them take my cloth seats out and have them put two-tone red and black leather seats? :bigok: I think it looks really good, bnut i don't want it to cost me a fortune... thanks

Try a search on this site at the top. there is a lot of info on this topic. My understanding is that finding a quality shop to do it is the better choice than the dealer.

Also keep in mind that someone on the forum may be looking to sell or trade either their entire seats or seat coverings. I remember seeing some seats for sale recently in the For Sale board.

Make sure that you don't loose the warranty on your side airbags, seatbelts and pretensioners. I thought about this before I bought my GT. The dealer said that they will do it for about $1000, but will void the warranty.

Definitely get it done aftermarket - the dealer will charge you top dollar for leather that's not that great (not too mention the vinyl inserts).

It will cost you a fortune

You could check out Katzkin. They do have a pattern for the RX-8 and I am sure they could replicate the Black and Red interior. Not sure how much that would cost, or how hard it would be to do it yourself.
