I dont mean to sound cold but..I'm sorry but if you got "balls" enough to attempt shit like this, you deserve what ever happens to you as a result.

good riddance

My Father's family is from there. It used to be such a pleasant city to wander around. I'm not sure what the good and bad neighborhoods are anymore.

Indeed. If you're a big enough piece of shit to enter someone else's home for personal gain, you're going to get what's coming to you. I have absolutely no sympathy for thieves - I could care less if the get shot, chewed by a dog, hit by a bus, shoved in a wood chipper, struck by lightning, blasted with a flamethrower, etc. Pretty much anything aside from getting away scot-free is just fine in my book.

I like the witness description in the video:

"It went like this: bang, bang, then bang-bang-bang..."

If that had happened in the US, the family of the burglar who was killed by the cops would have sued the owners of the property that he was killed on and they'd probably win. I personally feel that once you commit a crime liek that, you have forfeited any rights and whatever happens to you next is a free for all.

You guys should have seen the further footage on the news...

Apparently one of the rejects that didnt get shot and ran into another house called his gf to tell her he was in trouble (no shit sherlock). then the girl shows up with police and starts flipping out... calling the cops "racist" and "murderers". I just shook my head in shame.

see its brainless dumb behaviour like this that just ruins things and reflects back on the rest of us

It is indeed how things should work, when you commit a crime, you lose your rights, should be responsible for your own actions. Its such a shame that the laws/sueing here is this bad, you can get away with *almost* everything.

Where I came from, if you J-walk and gets killed, rob a house and gets killed by cops = no sueing, nothing, its your own fault. Hack, even if you're caught speeding, you automatically have to pay for the fines and deduct points, theres no going to court. Maybe globalization will change this? but not for many years to come...
