i got pulled over today for not slowing down when i passed a cop on the side of the road. I was doing the speed limit too. Ha we dont have this law in NJ. Well whats weird is The cop said " do u have weed , do u smoke , do have friends that smoke if i bring the drug sniffing dog will the dog find anything", ect ect pretty weird the first time i was ever asked thease ?s. Now this is what I said " officer no i dont have weed and i dont have any friends that smoke i think people that smoke weed espeacily since my 16 year old cousin commited sorcide when he was high i would never touch the stuff nor smoke it i think it a waste of time and money and not worth the risk". He said u seem like a good kid i will let u off with a warning. But next i will have to give u a ticket.
Damm i love my gift since i have atained my moms gift to talk out of tickets and out of trouble.

Do you start crying when a cop pulls you over? :) Sorry girls for the stereotyping, don't take me too seriously :)
Really though, umm...what could he give you a ticket for in this case?
I got pulled over here for passing a cop that was going 5mph under the speed limit once (I was going the limit). The lecture was "Don't ever pass a cop, no matter what speed we're going."
Talk about power trip, for a cop to think they're above speed limit laws. I guess that means when a cop is mobbing out well above the speed limit, I can follow in pursuit as long as I don't pass?? Let me guess - it doesn't work both ways....

Bizzare.
As far as I'm concerned so long as I'm not driving either over the speed limit or dangerously the police can go take a hike.
In UK the (marked)police ALWAYS drive at about 65 on motorways (70mph limit). Everyone crawls past at 70-75 then hoofs it soon as there past :)

That's a new law that went into effect this past July.. You have to slow down if you're in the lane that is next to the shoulder of the road. You don't have to slow down if you're in any other lane.

Yep, it's a new law. I think you have to slow to 25mph under the limit. I treat them like any other vehicles parked on the shoulder. Give them space and pass them on the outside lane.

You want the real reason you got pulled over:
JERSEY PLATES! The I-95 corridor has the most drugs transported on it than any road outside of Columbia!
I had my car searched in 1989 because I had Jersey plates on my car and was young.

By the way, Jersey Troopers are just as "vigiliant" when it comes to the boys from the south (especially if your African-American).
