Wankeler

Hey all,
I'm new to the forums, and a long time Wankel fan (although I've never had the pleasure).
I've read elsewhere on these forum pages about ECM "reports", printouts (whtever), that show max RPM's, duration, etc...
My question is:
Is there anyway to get this info from a particular RX-8 you're interested in, from the dealer prior to purchase?
I mean... I've worked as a technician in many many different dealerships over the years (now I'm a chip head instead of a grease monkey) and maybe it was just my dumb luck, but all 3 dealerships I've worked at (covering over 10 car lines, and working on over half those lines), I've seen some abusive treatment to some of our un-sold premium cars.
I'm sure the NEW Corvettes, Mustangs, NSXs, Legends, SSTs and other piston driven cars could handle the high revs and hard "test driving", but seeing how important it is not to abuse rotary engines (especially during the break in period), how do I trust the dealer I'm buying my new baby from?
I'd be nice if an ECU printout could be part of the PDI routine. Kind of a QC assurance that Mazda could do for thier RX-8 PR (Public Relations... not Puerto Rican... or Pre-Raping).
Just curious if it was a reasonable PRE-BUY request.
NORDIC GREEN w/Chaparral!!!! I'm comin baby.... wait just a week longer!!!!
Regards and peace to all.
