I'm new to the forum and I'm seriously considering putting an order in for a high power RX8.

Question is, does anyone know of any dealers (preferably close to London) who have any unallocated ones?

Ideally, I would want one in Nov/Dec but so far I've been told January.

High power next batch wont be available until Jan/Feb. First 1000 batch wont be with us lot that preordered back 8/9 months ago until November.

If you get one good luck, but it will be due to someone dropping out.

You MAY be able to get a low power one in the earlier back in time for Dec?

There was supposed to be no dealer allocations at all , only customer pre-orders so theoretically you won't be able to find them un-sold in a dealership. This may not be the case though but I think you'll find it hard to find a dealer to admit to it at the moment.

If you get a car before Jan/Feb 2004,you will have been very lucky.

Seems there may be some dealer up North that have 'speculatively ordered' cars - i.e. they placed orders for cars with no buyers.

Certainly there were some chaps appeared on the forum who only ordered the car a couple of weeks ago and are getting in the first allocation with those who ordered 8 months ago.

Sure , it's a long way to go - but worth it to get the car early !
Search the threads , and you should get the names of those who know where these dealers are.

I did some phoning around and have been told I can get one late Nov/early Dec but I don't know whether this is just sales speak..

I can probably wait till January anyway so looks like I'll be taking the plunge!!!
