Being a Mazda loyalist I can hardly contain my excitement at the news I just came across. Mazda has just announced the introduction of a real Mazda pickup truck, the BT50. The only question is, will it come to the US?

I don't sense sarcasm in your statement nor do I see any smilies or anything. I hope I'm right and you're wrong or that you're kidding. There's hardly anything that Mazda needs more right now than their own truck. They sometimes sell less than 300 units nationwide from over 700 dealers in a month. They're a waste of space, for the dealers, for Mazda North American and for me.

You shouldn't be paul. making a REAL pickup truck is serious work. Toyota and NIssan didn't accomplish it overnight, and in the full-size market they are only finally building a really competitve product now. Unless mazda is going to try and compete with Ford for fleet sales... trucks are a waste of their time. Stick with cars and SUV's.

Thanks Japan. It is a good looking truck though.

Took Mazda forever, and all they come up with is this? No thank you. It's 2006, that truck looks outdated.
