Cool Bought the UHP Exclaim Tires..Have a question

I remember L8APEX stating this in another thread:

That said, I did not go with them on my newest set, but through no fault of their own. They just could not get the tires I wanted.

As far as what to get, dunno. My mindset is super sticky, short life expectancy now. I can tell you, stay away from the KDW 2's. Some folks around here love them, but they are one of the loudest tires out there, and are not that comfy on the ride, more like a 4x4 truck.

And for stock size, 245-40-18 is not stock, but is close, and gives you a couple things:
1-more tire on the road
2-more options for tires

the stock size is limited in who makes them and how many models are available.
When I called Tire Track I put in an order for 245 45 r18. I quickly called in to make sure the order would be changed if performance would be affected. He assured me that changing it to 240 40 18 wont affect spedometer etc. I hope I made the right choice.

I get them on Thursday. I just would like to thank the user community on helping the more novice car experts out here.

wait, so what size did you order? 245/45? shoulda gone with 245/40, i would think... 245/45 would be a little tall, & 240/40 doesnt exist.

ok, thats more like it. i have 245/40's on my car & love them. the speedo is about 1% fast, which really isn't very significant.

I have 245/40's for both summer and all-season tires. When I drive by a radar speed indicator, it shows me traveling 1-2 mph slower than indicated on my speedo.

well that is going to correlate with how fast you are actually going... 1-2 mph slower @ 30, or 1-2 mph at like 90?
