I have read elsewhere on the board that the standard cloth interior is very nice. Has anybody got any piccy's of the cloth. Seen the RX8 with red and black leather recently and this looked nice but was wondering how good the cloth is????

I saw the cloth interior recently and thought it looked excellent. Dark shades with different textures. If I had not already placed my order for the leather I would have been more than happy with the cloth.

I also wanted the DVD sat nav toy, which only comes with the leather

I love my cloth! I really wanted leather but when I saw the cloth in person I was more than happy with it.

It feels like of like felt and is very soft. It also is very grippy and has ridges. Here's a couple of pics, not the greatest but at least you can kind of see them.

Oh I should add I found the 2 tone leather kind of gimicky when I saw it in person. What I really don't like is the 2 tone stearing wheel. I like the all black wheel.

Personally I like the leather, as you also get electric adjustment, heated seats and lumbar. The cloth in the Blue pre-prod car didnt seem to bad though.

Pic of cloth...

Well , I'm the other way ! It was always going to be cloth - dont like leather seats so it was something of a relief to realize the cloth looked as good as it does !

There does seem to have been a lack of cloth piccies though....

Morgan.

PS - 8 days production to go !

Having sat on the cloth seats on the pre-prod blue one I am kind off upset at pre-ordering the leather. I would now preferr to put the £1200 towards sat nav as the cloth is nice enough for the extra cost of leather to be difficult to justify. I also think that the electric gubbins and the plastic backing to the leather seats means that you lose a slight amount of rear passenger space, but until I see them side by side I can't be sure on this point.

I doubt many will be upset with the standard of the cloth seats.

I thought that was only in the States but I stand corrected. OK - I wish I had saved the £1200 and spent it on an accessory or two (thats about all £1200 would buy!):D

If you want more cloth pics, I can take some for you.

I can take pics of the back and front. I'll see if I can get that done tonight, probably won't be till tomorrow though, tonight I have to install my garage door opener, shouldn't take too long (hopefully).

I've had some great comments on the cloth, it is REALLY nice. Nicest cloth seats I've ever seen.
