I am in Canada and am interested in the rear fog light accessory. For those of you in Japan that have this option, where is the switch to operate it? Is there a switch on the dash to operate it or is it on the rotary stalk that controls the turn signals?

Someone in another post noted that it is a rotary control on the turn signal stalk. The first position turns on the front fog lights and the second position turns on the rear fog lights. I have heard of another one that has a rectangular switch with a fog light icon on it. Which set up is the one directly from Mazda? Thanks in advance for your help.

I posted this over a month ago. Does no one have a rear fog light installed in their car?

Hi RX8 Forumers,

I am new here. Just took delivery of my 8 last week (details in signature panel), just over 600kms, looking forward to every drive and tasting 9000rpm after the breakin.

Broose,

I believe I am the only one fitted with the rear fog light in Singapore. I have a fetish for it - looks cool, useful in emergency and during our tropical monsoon rainstorm.

I ordered it factory fitted and it came with an on/off switch on the panel below the steering wheel, in the space above the DCS cutoff switch, flanked by the instrument panel rheostat and the headlight height adjuster.

I would prefer to see the switch on the stalk together with the front fog light switch. A slight disappointment is the lack of a indicator light on the instrument panel to indicate rear fog light on. Also disappointed no front fog lights on indicator either.

Other than that I am super happy with my 8, the sound, looks, detailing, quality all met my expectations

Hey Ringer, welcome to the board. Pearl white! Haven't seen that colour yet...should be great. Post some pics.

Fab8,

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try to take some pics - lazy, no skill. Perhaps at the next meetup ? or at the rotary engineer talk?
