I've read a few posts about "joining the fun" side of the rx8. I've finally gotten a pretty damn good deal (if it pulls through) I should have it by thursday.

Currently own:

Avon tires ($600 ish)

500miles (i would believe these are test drive). They told me the car was a C.O and not a demo car.

(and then I will put the accessories on again or swap them).

Anyways, after looking hard I found a dealer that had this car. They told me $7,000 w/trade

Anyways they will switch the tires/clear corners for me and even the truck lid so i can keep all my accessories. But my concern is that the color may be a bit faded on my current lid and would look slightly off color if i put on the new one.. wouldn't it?

Overall

1. Do you believe their offer is good?
2. What would you suggest regarding the lid spoiler issue?

How old is your car? If you wax/zaino it, the difference shouldnt be too much. If there is color difference, you probably have to live with it or get the trunk painted, but then again, the difference should be minimal. "New" cars are exposed to the sun daily too. Especially your 05 is a test drive car.
