View Full Version : New job!!!
BunnyGirl 03-20-2006, 01:32 PM Yay!!! I just got a new job today, that I will start the first week of April. It wasn't my preferred shift but I get an extra $1 per hour with this shift and it also made it possible for me to arrange my hours so that I have one full day off where I wouldn't have been able to on the other one. Now I can afford my car and most likely my vacation and still pay my bills!!!!
RX8_ML 03-20-2006, 01:34 PM YAY!!! I'm so happy for you, things did work out for you, lol it was destined for you to get an 8!

jisoo26 03-20-2006, 02:04 PM WOO HOO!!!     IT'S MILLER TIME!
BunnyGirl 03-20-2006, 02:12 PM I do medical transcription/medical editing. That means I type medical records for patient charts and I also correct them. It gets really "fun" when you have to listen to doctors with very heavy accents.

I haven't heard back from them yet other than they are "reviewing" my application. Since that job keeps changing days and hours all the time it makes it hard to keep a second job so unless they offered me mid to high range of their pay, I wouldn't take it until my bills were about gone.
So I am doing the new job full time and my old job full time until the end of the year and then will go part time with the old job until my bills are about gone. The way the hours I have scheduled work out, it is equivalent to what I was doing before all the changes, with the exception of not having "break time" during all those hours, which meant watching things on TV and typing during commercials. LOL
After extreme tantrums at corporate about my pay and everything with my old job, they did change my pay so $13-$15 an hour now, so things are looking better.
Darkrose 03-20-2006, 03:20 PM Yay! Congrats. Things are looking up....got a job, and the car is on the way. :)

bascho 03-21-2006, 01:01 PM Congrats BG! I know you were getting frustrated with your former employer. Good things usually happen in 3's....you got a new job, a new car..........I wonder what the 3rd will be???
BunnyGirl 03-21-2006, 02:34 PM I'm hoping for a ring!!!
rx8wannahave 03-21-2006, 02:45 PM ^awwww.... :D:
Fanman 03-21-2006, 02:58 PM Congrats $13-$15 an hour is not bad. I know you were sweatin' for a while with job prospects that were not going to pay your bills. Good luck.
You think doctors with heavy accents are bad, try reading their handwriting. Yikes !
BunnyGirl 03-21-2006, 04:23 PM New job pays a little over $17, so between the two I will be making the equivalent of $30 or so. Yay!!!! Pays the bills down faster that way.
Try imagining how that handwriting would "sound" if it were spoken. I think the writing is reflective of the speaking skills in this instance.
