I am fully in support of keeping a single avatar or at least a consistant theme among multiple avatars. Nevertheless, I felt the old avatar was getting stale and I could not find a replacement that was thematic. As I am a big Boondocks fan (and Pearls fan, and Zits fan, and Classic Bloom County fan, and Get Fuzzy fan...), I could not pass up the opportunity to use todays comic as my avatar. Let me know what you think.

I too decided to change my avatar. I felt I needed something befitting my screen name. What better way than to choose one of the greatest actors of all time in one of his greatest roles?

Shichi-nin no samurai (seven samurai)? Awesome movie. I know the director (Kurosawa) but not the actor. (Toshiro Mifune or Takashi Shimura?)

Shichi-nin no samurai (seven samurai)? Awesome movie. I know the director (Kurosawa) but not the actor. (Toshiro Mifune or Takashi Shimura?)Yojimbo, actually. Right director, wrong movie. The actor is Toshiro Mifune. The Seven Samurai is a fine movie, and one of my favorites; but I like Yojimbo more.

Mifune rocks. Kurosawa rocks. Put the two together and you get a funny looking Japanese man. :D:
