in May I will come in vacations for 2 weeks in New York city.Anyone can suggest to me a good hotel nearest center of city?Thanks in advance.Greetings from Italy :)

The Plaza Hotel....if you can afford that. It has a beautiful view of central park, and you are not too far from Times Square.

The Plaza is no longer a hotel.. they are converting it to condos. I stayed at the Warwick Hotel in Midtown Manhatton about two-three blocks from times square, central park, Rockefeller Plaza and Fith Ave. It was a great hotel. Got a really good deal on www.travelocity.com too.

I am in the city every weekend, there are many different hotels. It depends how much you want to spend and what you are looking to do. Check the interenet for the best deals youll find what your looking for.

The Plaza is closed now. If you are looking for a hotel near midtown (5th avenue shopping) the New York palace is very nice. If that is a bit too pricey then the Omni Berskshire is quite good for less. Something modern, close to all (but only has a queen sized bed) is the Royalton (be sure to get the upgraded room for a little extra, it's a very big difference). If you want Times Square, the W hotel is quite nice there.
