Hi

I have one question, wondering if you have noticed the same thing. I had to replace one of my front tires making them unevenly worn down. I was told that driving with uneven front tires is impossible i switched rear and front tires.

The small problem is that the rear tires are almost completely worn down (geee wonder why). When placing the more worn tires in the front i noticed that the feedback from the steering got much stronger. Before i would feel a little depression if the asphalt was worn down but now the car is literally tugging me along in the track it wants to go and i almost have to fight it.

Has any of you noticed the same behaviour in your 8s? I will take out my 8 from winter storage as soon as the snow melts away and I have a new pair of Kuhmo tires i will try and see if the feedback grows less with new fresh tires.

Any input you all have is greatly appreciated.

Since you put the rears on the fronts, the rears have worn with a different camber than the front suspension. The new fronts will take some time to wear appropriately to the front camber settings. You are feeling the effect of that.

Thanks for the quick answer :-)

So if I understand this correctly with some wear I will gradually get more normal feedback on the steering.

When I later put on brand new tires, will the steering feedback be odd then too? Will it be stronger or weaker you think?

Probably stronger again.
