what should be the next purchase

Im looking at acouple of minor engine upgrades, i just put on the burnout lip and the front aero splash guards for looks..What should i get next..and what suggestions-

-pulleys (what is the best)

-spark plugs (i read somewhere they make a difference)

-best intake (i have a 1st gen k & n..which i heard isnt the best..would it help if I completely covered the intake i have ..kinda like a heat shield..

-best header (I had an obx but there was a leak)

-what else should I add???

also, are there and chrome or angel eye headlights for sale. I think it would give a clean appearence... The place where i bought my rims from are selling wheel screens that can be painted to match your car or come in standard silver..its a piece that goes behind the rim and anchored to your rim so the empty spaces are filled in by a hard mesh..thanks

pulleys doesn't get you much power gain, it's been posted all over the forum.

spark plugs might help if your current one's are fouled or bad. But other than that I don't see how they can give you a performance gain if your plugs are in good condition. But there was one account where it gave a drastic increase in hp, but it was probably b/c the spark plug was bad in the first place.

intake is more for sound than anything else. Probably get 4-6 whp from an intake. The new k&n is better than the old one. Racing beat makes a nice intake. There are dyno charts on intakes all over the forum. Search.

Header as of right now none that would give a good return on your investment. OBX has one but doesn't make any power as a matter of fact it lost 1hp.

Canzoomer mod is good if you know how to tune, takes a little patience. But can net you a good amount of hp for the price of 300-500 depending on who is selling in the for sale forum. Turboxs makes a full header back exhaust and has shown a 21 whp gain. Again search and you would find your answers. This is just a brief overview of what i've read in the past year that could be inaccurate but if you search you would find many different opinions on the mods you listed above.

Good luck.

The pulley gains are just stupid manipulation of the charts.

You get 6hp in 4th gear or higher over 7k rpm. Think how fast you're going at that speed. When will you need that gain if you're not on a track?

I looked at plugs and the stock ones are already $20 each Iridium plugs.

The intakes won't get you much more then just putting in a slightly better air filter. Some intakes are a negative effect because the car is tuned for the current air box.

The best bag for buck is the high flow CAT or exaust upgrade IMO.

After that it's $1k and up for engine tuner or turbo(6k I think)

It's a very hard car to tweak.
