Hey fellas, Where can i find a Diagram for the undercarriage of the RX8. Looks like i ran over some kind of pipe and i messed somthing up under the car. A piece of metal about a foot or so long that is in the middle of the undercarriage got all mangled ! Its in the middle of the car, theres two of them ( thank goodness i only messed up one) and its bolted to the undercarriage accross the exhaust piping. Anyone know what it is so i can replace it. And if so how much it might run me ? Also what is the purpose of this part ? I have since removed it because it was causing a nasty rattleing sound under the car. I just kinda wanna know what the purpose of this part is it does not hold anything together. Looks more like just protection for the exhaust piping maybe. Thanks for your help !

Looks like the parts in the photo? Those parts makes the overall body of the RX-8 more ridged (sub frame bracing) You can drive around without them but Mazda put them there for a reason so I would try to replace them when you can. If this happened last year I could have sold you mine. I have the Auto Exe (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=61120) Sub frame brace, which replaces the OEM bracing. Try posting in this vendors forum http://www.rx8club.com/forumdisplay.php?f=88 they might be able to get them for you off a wreck.
