Has anyone ever heard of Mazda viewing solo II as "racing" in terms of voiding warranty? Doesn't seem like it would make sense with a Mazdaspeed contingency being offered but who knows.

View Full Version : Warranty Issue w Solo II? ACCELRX8 03-01-2006, 10:08 PM Has anyone ever heard of Mazda viewing solo II as "racing" in terms of voiding warranty? TeamRX8 03-01-2006, 10:53 PM Just because they offer contingency doesn't mean they're going to replace parts where the failure could be attributed to competing. They cover it in the warranty clause as "competition event" since it technically isn't side-side racing. That said, it just depend on your dealer. Some of them will try to bounce you for farting in the car. others could care less if you brought it in stickered up like a NASCAR racer. zaglo6204 03-02-2006, 12:37 AM others could care less if you brought it in stickered up like a NASCAR racer. where might i be able to find those?? i know my current dealership freaks over even minor aftermarket parts, unless they get money installing it... maybeashinka? 03-02-2006, 04:00 AM where might i be able to find those?? i know my current dealership freaks over even minor aftermarket parts, unless they get money installing it... any in the bay area? they like to tell me "youll have to pay for that" i think ill get that as a bumper sticker..."youll have to pay for that" godam dealer...doesnt fix shit in my car...ever. tuj 03-02-2006, 12:30 PM I had my front endlinks go out, and they were not covered due to my RB sway, but none of the rest of my warranty has been affected, and the dealership knows I compete in solo2. whiterex 03-02-2006, 01:47 PM My dealer told me to keep my stock parts just incase any "major" warranty wark had to be done. They have been cool with my previous miata and the 8. L8APEX 03-02-2006, 06:11 PM My service advisor always gives me a look like he know more about what I do with my car than I do. That I am watching you look. But they have only given me a little static once, and they backed off. And my car is really nowhere close to stock anymore. The service guys like to drive it in the service bay, they like the sound of the exhaust, or so I am left to guess, since they always give it a few good hearty revs while in there. It all depends on the service department, some of them have an attitude, and some don't. FInd one that doesn't, if you have more than one to choose from. |
